“Having travelled all around the country with work and eaten in countless cafes, I can honestly say this is the best cafe I have eaten in and my colleague agreed. We found it by chance and came back the next day because the food and service were so exceptional! Everything is homemade from chips to quiche, and the menu has all the classics plus a wide variety of inventive dishes for the more adventurous.Coffee is great, vegetable soup was delicious and the waitress and cashier couldn't be nicer.We probably won't be up in this beautiful corner of the world anytime soon, but if we are a serious detour is in order.”

“Oh my gosh what a wee gem of a place. Great location on the edge of Downhill forest. The owners are such a lovely couple. I had a Spanish hot chocolate, really chocolatey. It's dog friendly too. It's a must to visit ”

“Outstanding Full Fry £9.80 for 2 including tea. 2 sausage 2 bacon egg beans and about 4 bread including a fried slice. Proper sauce in a bottle and really quick service. 2 thumbs up !!”

“Coffee and tray bakes amazing- haven’t had a meal yet. New room and murals are brilliant. However for a country park with just about everyone going there to walk their dogs none are allowed in the cafe. Very disappointing.”
