We were so looking forward to trying The Chippie based on word of mouth and great reviews. The Staff were brilliant and the place was spotless however unfortunately we were regretfully let down by the actual food. Although 1 portion of cod was ordered the remaining food items ie chicken tenders all tasted of fish. Assumptions is that they were cooked together in the one fryer? The chips although advising frying new potatoes were unfortunately overcooked maybe refried or left sitting. I based on previous the Chippie reviews would propose that this may have been a one off late on a Sunday evening so would consider a revisit but wanted to give this feedback for acknowledgement

Food quality never used to be a problem, but the last few times we have ordered, the food has either been under portioned or over cooked. To say its the best chippy in the North is a bold statement as the are 2 Chippys we would rather have to get food from, Dominic O'Briens and McNultys.. far better food, priced a bit higher but at least you get what you pay for.Really disappointed with The Chippy, as I believe the fact that getting an award for best chippy has gone to their head, must have been a year that McNultys stepped aside at the food awards.Sorry for the poor review guys, but when you take my money for something and deliver the exact opposite of what's expected then the harsh review comes to light.

Am a Ballykelly man and thought Tommy's was the dawgs balls but today I got a burger from The Chippy and it was unreal, this isn't too bum up a friends chippy or anything like that cause I don't know anything to do with the chippy!! All I can say is the burger was awesome ?
Chips not cooked so along with the curry it was like a soggy chip stew. Chicken overdone. Safe to say our family shall not be back

Very tasty chippy tea. Food was lovely. Portions were massive. Fish would easily feed two. Reasonable prices.

Order our food via the chippy app for delivery. I ordered a chicken fillet burger meal. When recieved the chips where missing from the order. I rang up to be told they were too busy and i could get chips the next time i ordered. I didn't accept this as it was half my meal missing and even offered to come in to collect the chips. They eventually did redeliver my chips which i was thankful for but i dont think it is acceptable to be told they are too busy to fix an order that was wrong through their own mistake.
