Called in on Sunday after a walk on the beach. Friendly staff, lovely cakes, buns etc and a really relaxing, cosy space. Little play park and crazy golf to keep the kids entertained too. Would definitely recommend.

A friend took us for breakfast and was absolutely delicious. The coffee was very nice and managed to resist the cake counter.

Staff member taking orders at counter on our most recent visit is rude/had an attitude. Affected the experience adversely, unfortunately. Pity because previously enjoyed going there.

We popped down to Waves when we saw they were doing evening meals - it was amazing! Kids had burgers and really enjoyed them. We had the chicken stack and Katsu cod- both absolutely delicious! Portions were generous and included an extra side dish- we had truffle Parmesan fries and Bombay fries which were both really tasty. Service is friendly and prompt and the atmosphere was lovely. Kids had a run around in the wee playground after their meals which was an added bonus. We enjoyed ourselves so much we’ve booked to go again and popped in for cakes and coffee another day which were also fab. Looking forward to our return visit!

Fantastic food and had a very enjoyable meal with friends. Staff were really friendly and efficient. The owners are really lovely and deserve the recognition they deserve.

£38 for 2. I had the 10oz steak, wife had the Chicken Stack Burger. First off, couple of housekeeping comments. NO ENGLISH MUSTARD...Rooky mistake that I am sure will be rectified. The seating is a mixture of high and low seating, so be careful when you book if you have mobility issues.Steak was not tender, though obviously perfectly cooked. I would venture that the butcher has the blame for this, but needs careful attention by the buyer in future.Mushroom sauce was the best I've ever tasted, sauces are not listed on the menu, so you need to inquire what's available. Chicken Stack was really good, and a thoroughly enjoyable meal. Garlic chips need to have more garlic.I will be back, as its head and shoulders above the Point and the Anglers. Everyone enjoyed it.....just watch the quality of the steaks, the buyer needs to be present at the purchase, can't be left to chance.Overall, a good experience, staff were excellent, service was good, again, and to send this home, watch the quality of the steaks. You only get a couple of chances to get this fundamental right......well done for bringing BYOB to Benone, its a surefire hit !!!

Really good chill out brunch cafe during the day, but excellent new evening dinner spot on the coast. Great, friendly staff, perfect for families and couples looking delicious food and really good value. Cod was cooked to perfection, with generous portions!

Great lunch. All freshly made. Loved the salads that came with the toasties and sausage roll. Friendly efficient service too. Really good value too!Vegetarian options: I'm bringing my veggie daughter here next time she's home for the sourdough cheese toastie. Best on the north coast.

*updated* The owners of this cafe made a decision to keep dog owners outside during peak seasonal times, they posted this on their FB then took the post down. They now have physical signs on the premises to tell dog owners to sit outside during peak times but can sit inside when all the holiday makers are away. Then they insult a customer by calling him a keyboard warrior because they can't deal with the backlash of their post, which basically stated people who have dogs are second class citizens and their custom is less important. There is a lovely place only 5 mins up the road called Sea Shed which welcomes dog owners inside all year round. Their buns are actually nicer too.As a side note Mr owner, I would have been a customer a lot more previously but your shop was closed early. But your treatment now for dog owners, we'll never be back.
