Really enjoyed the tour which was very interesting. The food and was delicious and was complemented by a very welcoming atmosphere and a highly anticipated flight of beer. I would highly recommend the Brewery Tour or even just lunch at the Stables.

Purchased tour for my husband's birthday as gift. Excellent experience. Beautiful area. Stunning outbuildings, dripping in period features.Very welcoming atmosphere in The Stables. Even if you arrive early, there is a variety of fresh traybakes or avail of the breakfast menu. Their resident golden retriever 'Hollie' will give you a warm welcome and flow from table to table for scraps and cuddles. We were then introduced to BrewMaster who gave us a brief history of Hilden Brewery before showing is round the Brewery from how they choose and prep the Barely to how they ferment and flavour the ale. Even had the bottling plant on site.Back to The Stables for a hot bowl with stout wheaten and a variety of Hilden ale and stout.Absloutlolutely worth every penny. Really affordable few hours out. We spent 3hrs as arrived early and relaxed after. Beautiful for Spring/ Summer as plants in bloom.Hilden in a hidden jem in Lisburn/Lambeg.My parents are retired and from Derry, they will be visiting via train and can walk shortly distance from Lambeg train stop. Easily accessabile for all ability's.Would definitely visit again for lunch and purchase the Brewery Tour for a gift.Claire& Gareth

Fabulous afternoon tea with great variety and the freshest scones ever. I've been three times and had different colleagues look after me... and they're all lovely. Great value too as you'll definitely have a doggy bag to take home for later!

Came for a sneaky breakfast after the school run. Beautifully decorated, cosy and delicious breakfast. Friendly helpful staff

Attended a wedding here and found the service and attitude lacking. The draught beer must have been sitting in the kegs for ages and everyone agreed was disgusting. Staff up their own backsides. Would never dream of returning.

We attended the Halloween event at Hilden and were left coming away very disappointed. £15 per a child & £5 per an adult and all that was included was a pumpkin which you had to carve yourself, and could have bought for £1. The woodland walk / scavenger hunt looked like it had been thrown together in 5 mins, and there was litter strewn throughout the walk and a set of step ladders dumped at the side of the path. The whole experience may have been made worthwhile by receiving smores, hot choc or mulled cider at the end but these incurred an extra cost! So an added £2.50 for a bag of smores per child which consisted of stale choc digestives and couple of marshmallows. Mulled cider was £3 and not enjoyable with the amount of things floating in it.Overall a disappointing experience, with zero fun factor or atmosphere and which will not be repeated, especially when you can pay a couple of £ extra and have an amazing family experience elsewhere at Hydro or Streamvale etc. and which includes hot drinks for the adults! Not worth the money!

We went to Hilden Brewery Family Halloween Weekend. As a family we paid £57 to enter. When we arrived there was nobody to meet us as stated on the ticket. We managed to find the spooky walk, a trail with a few spooky toys lying about, it took about 5 minutes to walk through. When we got to the pumpkin patch we were told to walk back and get tokens for the pumpkins despite nobody showing us where to get these on the way in. Our children were then given stencils to draw on the pumpkins - the pens were not permanent so the design came off before they were even finished. The staff did not have the skills to carve the pumpkins, so we said we would just do it at home. No games were offered as stated on the advert. We were told the children should have received a game to play on the spooky walk, but we never received any. When we got to the fire tent, we were asked if our children had received candy bars - the staff member said that the children should have received these but obviously staff weren't giving them out, so went to get some. We were then told we had to pay a further cost to put our smores on the fire, so we paid £5 for 2 bags (bags which contained 2 smores each). It cost our family £62 to see a few plastic Halloween toys, receive a pumpkin to take home, and put smores on the fire. It was not well organised and extortionate. We will be going to other Halloween events in the local area next year which offer more for much less.

Sat for ages no service, yapping dogs at table next, tables hadn't been cleaned crumbs everywhere. Not for me .

Enjoyed the very interesting brewery tour and the lovely homemade stew and wheaten bread for lunch. The 3 sample beers went down well also. Good value and well worth a visit.

Came to the restaurant here about 4 years ago and had a really nice meal and thought the place had a lovely atmosphere. We went again recently for a Friday steak night and wouldn't come back again. The steak was very overdone, they didn't have any prosecco or sparkling wine and they got part of our order wrong. The place smelled damp and just not very comfortable. Extremely quiet with no atmosphere. The whole place needs a revamp! It's a shame as it has so much potential.
