A truly wonderful experience. Food was first class. The staff amazing and the service was top notch. This place is a jem. We lived in Asia for a number of years - and the food here is as good as it gets. Truly amazing experience.

By far the very best quality Asian food I’ve ever had !!! Gorgeous setting , fabulous staff and the most amazing food…. Great wine menu too to compliment all the flavours ! Would recommend the Txakoli .. all the ingredients were the very best … can’t wait to revisit !

Honestly, you could look at the menu, throw a dart and know you're going to get something absolutely delicious. On top of that, the service is absolutely top notch and the menu is very reasonably priced. It would be a serious shame to visit Derry without eating there...

Went to mekong on Thurs 19th Oct. Food fantastic and service great. 1 girl was waiting on tables I overheard they were short staffed but it didn't affect the service or food. The waitress was excellent and the guys were so friendly. So worth a visit best in a long time

Food was very nice but the prices are CRAZY! As an example, the duck leg starter was £17 and the main course of sirloin slices with bone marrow rice was £33. Certainly there are cheaper dishes but I dislike picking things that aren’t my first choice simply because of the price. Our total bill for seven people came to £360.00. The food was a nice change to the usual fare of tobacco onions with everything. The staff were pleasant and efficient, the restaurant itself has a nice ambiance but the prices charged ruined the experience.

Brilliant food well put together menu cooked to perfection, brilliant service, not the fanciest of surroundings but don't let that put you off, this place is quality.

Superb food, with excellent flavours, great relaxed vibe with excellent customer service. We shared the scallops which were cooked to perfection with an absolute perfect sauce to compliment them, this Chef knows his spices - actually the only place I will eat Fish as he knows exactly how to cook it and what spices to compliment the dish.

Went here with my mother for an early dinner as a birthday treat and what a place! Lovely atmosphere and outstanding service. We were welcomed upon arrival and shown to our table. Our waiter Alex was very knowledgeable and helped us decide what to order (can’t handle spice) and we were blown away with the choices. You can have your food come out when it’s ready or as starters/mains. The flavours were incredible and the presentation was outstanding! Booking is a must. Will definitely be back!

Second time dining here, food is fantastic and the waiter was helpful and attentive, Wednesday booking, and all the tables were full! Food and drinks arrived pretty quick considering how many people were in the restaurant!

Got a bao bun to share for starter as I had heard many people say this was amazing. Nothing special… bun was stodgy and I’ve had better. Shaking beef for main was beautiful. Beef was perfectly cooked and tender. Bone marrow fried rice was unreal. If I was being picky I would say the rice was slightly too salty for my taste. I only wish the portion of rice was bigger or the rice could be ordered separately as a side. Partner had pad Thai. He enjoyed but said it was too sweet. I agreed but as I have not had authentic pad Thai I cannot comment if this is how it is supposed to taste. Orange crème brûlée for dessert. Crème brûlée was lovely. Ginger cookie tasted like I was eating a fragrant candle so would have been better without. Overall the service was great. Everyone that served us was friendly. Prices are expensive but this could reflect the current price of ingredients. Small imperfections but I have since returned for another meal.

Wow it’s all about the food, no wonder they’ve won awards. Glad we also managed to save a little tummy space for the mouthwatering crème brûlée. The atmosphere is lively and laidback. We went mid week and every table was filled do I need to say anymore.

We arrived early, but was greeted warmly and immediately shown to our table. Service was amazing, bright, cheerful, friendly and upbeat. Manager and waiting staff made excellent eye contact and made great conversation. The food was truly delicious, colourful and at perfect eating temperature. Booking is a must.

I dined in and ordered a meal. I was given the wrong order and when I informed the waitress of this she was nice and told me she'd go get it right, however, another waitress came back to argue with me that i gave her the wrong order when she triple checked with me when ordering. The food was okay. I didn't eat most of it and went home hungry but the shrimp/prawns were very good. Everything else was mid.The music was way too loud and could hear everything going on in the kitchen. Could barely hear my partner.Dont think ill be returning unless its for the king prawns. They were the best.

Never tried Thai/Vietnamese food? If you’re in Derry/Londonderry then the Mekong is the place to go. Very helpful staff who will happily guide you through the choices and they’ll prepare dishes to your taste if you like more or less chilli for example. The local soft drinks and beer are really great too
