We visited Diamonds a few weeks ago while passing through Warrenpoint. We hadn’t been for years as we are not from the area. The food was lovely tasty and hot and very large portions. The service was fast considering the restaurant was full. Best of all the lady who served us was really lovely, made us very welcome and when we were so full after lunch and couldn’t manage any desert, she brought a piece of the most beautiful shortbread to finish. Would definitely recommend.

We visit diamonds every time we are over from England visiting family, we always have a fantastic meal and the staff are always so accommodating and friendly. Meals are great standard and big portion sizes. The staff are so attentive. Always a brilliant meal.Vegetarian options: Great options for my mum who is vegetarian.Kid-friendliness: Really friendly and accommodating with my son and a highchair was organised very quickly for us. Kids meals are brilliant size and fantastic quality.Wheelchair accessibility: So accommodating with my granny who was in her wheelchair.

This place was recommended by the shop next door! It seemed a bit pub like from outside but inside its definitely a seaside cafe.Great menu with lots of gluten free options and probably the best pavlova in northern Ireland.Dietary restrictions: Unusual to find staff with such good knowledge of gluten free options. Well done guys.

Absolutely brilliant service and the food was amazing. Got a full fry each and was stuffed. They brought a high chair for my son with out me having to ask. Food came very quickly too. They do an all day breakfast but the lunch and diner menu looked lovely and we will definitely be back to try it

I had an early dinner here with family. The food was nice enough, but I wouldn't say it was lovely. I had a chicken baguette which was just under £12 which did not include any side dish so I had to pay extra for chips, I thought that was expensive, also the chicken in the baguette had a strange taste so I took it out. I was here years ago and it was more like a cafe then and food was nicer and better value.

I've been eating here for years, it is one of those little finds that you can always be sure that the food is excellent. It never fails, and it seems to be a firm favourite as its always busy which is a great sign in itself. Hugh and his team have it well sorted.

The Diamonds had been recommended to me for a good value bite to eat and as such I dropped in on Sunday afternoon with friends who were visiting me for weekend from County Kerry. The menu was extensive something to cover all tastes and budgets if anything maybe to much choice. The four of us dining all zeroed in on the same thing Fresh Cod and chips as its kind of a go to treat. There were though some issues one of our friends had to send there's back because the fish was raw, the fresh part of fresh cod and chips was questionable as it tasted frozen, the mushy peas tasted canned, the salad consisted of three bits of cress. The portion size was smaller than expected but served on a smaller square plate to give the illusion of been big with a side dish of chips hardly full. On the plus side though the staff were very good, warm, welcoming, very helpful and indeed ensured the raw fish issue my guest had was rectified quickly. Service was excellent. If I had one suggestion it would be rather than having a menu with so many options breakfast, fish, steaks, grill, chicken, pizzas, sandwiches to name just a few of the categories on offer the menu be condensed so that quality could be maintained in both the product used and its cooking as opposed to the current trying to satisfy everyone with a bit of everything approach which leads to shortcuts like frozen fish instead of fresh and tinned mushy peas. Look forward to trying again in the future.

Visited from England to see family. Four of us dining for an evening meal. Two of us had the salmon from the specials menu, best cooked salmon I've ever had. One had the salmon off the main menu, they enjoyed it but two fillets was too much for them. One had fish and chips which they said was very nice. The dish of mashed potatoes between two of us to go with the salmon special could have fed the whole restaurant. Been before and will return.
