I’ve been critical of Chinese takeaway places in town and I think justifiably. They are mostly well overpriced, refuse card payments and serve awful food cheapened as far as possible while bordering on the inedible. Or put shortly muck. This place is an exception - the food is actually tasty and worth eating but still over priced for cheap ingredients. The Thai on Canal Street has still much more delicious food and they take credit card payments but I was beginning to think that Newry was consigned to rip off awful oriental food and I’m happy to report it has in this a half decent place. Chances are you’ll wait a while on a Friday evening but it yiu notice while they are very busy there are at least four other Chinese places on nearby Monaghan Street that are all variously shades of near empty.

Lovely food. I got a 4 in 1 which is salted chilli chicken, fried rice, chips and curry sauce and it’s not overly expensive and it’s amazing. Massive portion sizes too.

2nd time eating here as it was only place open and this time we got two curry half rice and half chips, firstly I came across the chips in both meals were half cooked, had to empty chips in the bin they were that hard... Was left with just curried rice and next thing I know I pulling out a piece of yellow plastic that was mixed in with the rice, will not be back as it was an overall shambles and complete put off.
This is by far the worst Chinese I have eaten in newry I live 5 mins away from the takeaway and when I got home the food was ice cold chicken was hard and the chips where like rock never again

Personally, this is my favourite chinese takeaway in Newry, possibly/probably all of the country. Salted chilli boneless ribs are great, have a good variety for those who don't like spicy food, like steaks, battered sausages, gravy and more. Very pleasant staff who are accurate, efficient and very friendly. 11 out of 10.
