What a gem. Food was stunning. Service from Sammy was 10/10. Lovely traditional atmosphere. What a great place.

Called in today for lunch with my husband and daughter in law Husband got steak sandwich £21 . Disappointed when steak came with a few chips and 3 onion rings. No garnish. I had pork dinner, OK, but very hard lumps of stuffing and could have been hotter. Staff where lovely I have to say. Definitely wouldn't be rushing back.

Lovely atmosphere, food looked amazing and there was good feedback from customers. We had a couple of drinks as we were checking out the area. Very impressed, All staff were very welcoming and they took interest in us and had a lovely chat.

I have been going to Rice's for years, it is the most consistently good restaurants around. Service is excellent and it has the best steak sandwich money can buy. Although it should come with mushrooms and or tomatoes. Deserts are delicious and kids meals. Starters have got expensive.

Very nice food, we had an early seating and it was very nice. I would visit again, but not great for vegetarian options.

Been here several times before and were well impressed, we were not disappointed. Very warm greeting from very friendly staff. Menus was explained and when the food arrived it was very nice indeed. Reasonably priced / large portions. Highly recommend this chic hotel.

Great experience. Was a crowded night but they got me seated at the bar. Steak was very good, Guinness poured perfectly. Service was great even though the place was super busy and crowded.

Call at Rice's following a guide walk of the village by the historical society. The staff were very friendly. I had my grandson with me who cried when he spilt his juice, the barman came straight over cleaned up the spill and got him some more juice. I wasn't very hungry and wanted a lite bite, the staff were very accommodating and offered me a child portion.Kid-friendliness: They had a child's menu and as I was not very hungry, I was allowed to order from the child's menu. This is a great plus in a restaurant as many pensioners would prefer smaller portions

Hungry for lunch, thought we would just pop in for a sandwich. Greeted by friendly staff, Ordered a Veggie wrap with garlic and chilli chips. Weirdest wrap I ever had... Broccoli peas and carrots say no more oh with curry powder I think.. Chips were slices and bits of potatoes not actual normal chips and drenched In sweet chilli sauce. Description in menu should be alot clearer or better yet change the filling of the wrap.
