This coffee shop has obviously gone downhill since the last review. The younger staff were lovely but unfortunately the older one was quite abrasive. We had two ham and cheese sandwiches which were uninspiring and not even served with salad or crisps though we did notice that other customers had been given them. We have been to other Ground coffee shops where the food and service were excellent but we will not be returning to the Newtownabbey one.

Nice but expensive staff are lovely and more than helpful..

Great location for a morning coffee and scone. The coffee tastes great, and there is a wide selection of food and drink available. The cafe is on the first floor, and has nice views over Belfast Lough. It has lots of windows, and is airy and bright. It has a public toilet close by.

Ordered a matcha vanilla cooler and it was undrinkable. Fresh cut grass steeped in hot water would probably taste better. As someone else mentioned, tables weren’t wiped or floors cleaned.

Today was my first time going to ground in Next at the Abbey Centre. Absolutely wonderful staff especially Jamie. Very helpful. I had my wee boy with me. Jamie brought my tray to table for me and went and got a high chair for me. Really professional and kind and polite.

Decent cafe, surprisingly clean at the end of the day. Nicely tucked away at the rear of the Next store. Plenty of seating and signs saying use the power points for laptops and phones and giving you the WiFi code - most cafes don’t promote using their power points but are happy enough to let you access their WiFi. Not sure where the toilets were or what they were like.
Such a nice coffee retreat located in Next department store, Abbey Centre. Me and my partner enjoy visiting here after shopping or just as a treat. I usually get the Cappuccino and we both share the Nutella Cake (when available), which is out of this world! Great views from here. You can see as far as Bangor, Belfast Docks and Belfast Lough. There is also plenty of tables, well spaced out as well as charging points by the window.

Would just like to say Stephen on the hot food in Abbeycentre is absolutely fantastic with the customers. Nothing ever seems to be a problem. Food and coffee was great.
Can't beat a cappuccino and piece of Nutella
