Visited the Halt recently for a family meal out. The restaurant was quiet, service was adequate. Server was friendly and bar tender also friendly however when I visited the restaurants toilets I was very disappointed as they look as though they have not been cleaned in a very long time. Fake tan marks on toilet seat and feaces on the inner rim of the toilet and bins appeared not to have been emptied in a while and mirror filthy. Made me question the cleanliness of the kitchen this had put me off returning. Hopefully the team at the Halt will improve there cleaning skills as the food is good.

When this place opened, the food and service were both amazing and I recommended it to so many friends and family members. Over the last year, standards have slipped, yet I continued to go. Everything about The Halt now has taken a massive nose dive and it is now vile. The quality of food and service have clearly taken a massive hit since it became more popular. This industry is so competitive and I am more than happy to take my business elsewhere. I will never be back.

We came for the Halt Tapas night and were left really disappointed. Chicken wings were tasteless, goats cheese fritters were cold and everything else looked and tasted like it had been brought in and not homemade. We’d have been better off spending our money on an M&S meal deal at home! Lady who was serving us was lovely, so friendly and welcoming.

My wife and and I went out for an anniversary lunch. We had the stacked chicken and the daily special of a surf and turf. Not just sreak and king prawns but mussels and lobster. We don't eat out often so this dish was a splash and I'm a little fussy about my steak but I can't complement the chef any more.\\n\\nIt was the perfect steak well seasoned perfectly cooked and balanced perfectly with the seafood. I've not had better even from steak houses. Not only that but my wife's meal had perfectly cooked chicken smooth mash and a lovely pepper sauce.\\n\\nGiven the World we live in now. People want value for money but even at this price point it well worth spashing out because I felt it was a bargain for what we paid given the quality of the food.\\n\\nOh flip, I've not mentioned the staff! They were amazing friendly, helpful and made this a extremely nice, escape from the kids, meal out.
