Fantastic food and atmosphere! Just be careful and stick it into your sat nav. The entry way is easily missed!

Food was very good as was the service very friendly and welcoming staff. A nice relaxed atmosphere even on a busy afternoon. Prices and quality we found very good ?Parking: Lots of room right beside the building

Beautiful surroundings, attentive staff, although they did forget to bring my wine and superb food- outstanding.

I’m sorry to say our Sunday eveningdining experience was very poor. While service upstairs was excellent, very attentive and friendly…… the food was a huge disappointment! The prawn starters were dry, over cooked and dipping sauce almost non existent. The Turkey main course tasted, looked ‘processed’’ , the roast potatoes were hard like they had been reheated, cauliflower cheese and all the vegetables were completely overcooked and tasteless, and we were given a very small bowl portion between 3 people. The cauliflower cheese did tasted of neither cauliflower nor cheese. The red cabbage tasted acrid, the gravy was completely tasteless and tepid. The mashed potato was smooth but again it was completely tasteless The salmon special was nicely cooked and presented. Sadly our trio of mini deserts included a very tasteless, greasy and bland Christmas pudding. The mini elderflower trifle was tasty but was accompanied by piece of hard ‘stale’ Madeira which was also tasteless. We had looked forward to our visit with friends. We loved the atmosphere and the service was excellent. Sadly,,,, we have to be honest and say that the food was the big big let down of the evening. Therefore overall it was very overpriced given the poor quality food experience!

Rarely get bad food here. Starter was changed from pig cheeks to fried pork... dry as a bone and no sauce, the cod was not seasoned. Main venison loin, magnificent but gratin totally unseasoned and couldn't be bothered. Deserts brilliant except bread and butter Xmas pudding... disaster, was like eating wet bread.... service always brilliant, I mean we had an early reservation to make sure nothing was sold out... wife loved the pork main so not all was lost!

No heat….definitely needs heat to be onFood and plates only lukewarm. My wife had to send her meal back as her broccoli was literally like salad ( touch cold)…my food was acceptable but got cold very quickly as the plate and restaurant was cold.Desserts …we ordered 2 each , we got 2 between us and the restaurant openly admitted it’s their fault .Was always a diamond in my eye that’s slowly becoming cubic zirconia…..food is only good if attention paid to detail.

Had a lovely Sunday lunch with the family. The food was excellent. The children’s menu is particularly good, they make proper meals for the kids, not just standard party food. Friendly service and a nice atmosphere. Will be back.

Went for Sunday lunch waiting for 45 minutes for point of ordering I understand places are busy that’s okay but when food comes separate from the sides then having to ask were the sides were they took a further 10-15 minutes by that time my dinner was cold& 1 side still hadn’t arrived, uneatable didn’t eat one spoonful explained all this to management while paying expecting not to be charged for my meal& was charged full price! Disgrace won’t be back ever

A party of around 12 of us, five of them children, booked in for Sunday lunch today. As always, the food was great, the staff were courteous and professional and everything went smoothly. This is a cosy, family-friendly yet intimate restaurant and is highly recommended.

The best place I've been in for a good while. A great overall experience and my vegetarian dish showed care and imagination, which is so often lacking. Recommend it.

Lovely food. Good selection on menus. I had sirloin of beef and husband had turkey. Well presented. Staff very friendly and pleasant. However we were put in a room with a large noisy party. Would have liked a quiet room.
