Stumbled here by chance and what a gem!The staff were very friendly and attentive. Atmosphere was relaxed with beautiful views over the lough. The food was really tasty - simple, well made and with generous portions.They have plenty of gluten free options and cater to vegans as well.Would highly recommend.

Have been to Daft Eddy's a few times and enjoyed the food and atmosphere. My husband and I were at a loose end and thought we would call in for a coffee and dessert. We were told to take a seat anywhere and asked to sit at a table in the raised area beside the window. We were told we wouldn't be able to sit there as this was for dining and the tables were all booked - even though the restaurant was closing in 45 minutes! So we were put at a table at the entrance door beside a wall. We couldn't see anything, there was no-one to interact with, no atmosphere at all. No new diners came to dine at the empty "booked" tables in the raised area while we were there (not a surprise given the time of the evening). Not at all what we had been expecting and not in keeping with our previous experiences at the restaurant. In the end we stayed for one drink, no dessert, and left. Ruined what could have been a nice evening out. Very disappointed.

Had an amazing lunch here today! Such a gorgeous setting when the sun is shining and the food was incredible. The scampi was the best we've ever had and the portions were so generous. Highly recommend!
