Only found this place in July have been almost every week since , the best pizza on the island of Ireland, other dishes are of top quality, staff warm , friendly & attentive, this place is a real find, I travel a lot and eat out all over the world, firebox is up there with the best, and sadly this comes to an end December 24 as it closes. I had ordered the Chicken Tikka pizza but when it arrived it had a very Soggy base rather than nice n crispy, i asked it to be put in the oven again but still remained Soggy. I ate one slice. My better half had a burger which she said was lovely. The chips which came with the burger were excellent so I ate those.

Don't think they do a bad anything. Always busy which is a good sign and their brisket burger is to die for. Lucky to have such a great spot locally

Was fortunate enough to have a private party in Firebox and it was brilliant. Our group were allowed to make their own pizzas which totally unexpected and the kids had a great time. Food was delicious, service great. 100% Recommend

I and my partner visited Firebox without a reservation on a weekend getaway to Ballywalter. The chicken strips portions was huge and so tasteful, as also the chicken satay. Our waitresses, Beth and Annabelle were very attentive and helpful. We had to wait 40 minutes for the food to be served but we were just unlucky. Before us a group of 14 people arrive and to be fair, although it was fully booked they managed to get us a table. The food was worth the waiting and decoration of the restaurant is by one of the owners, so unique and artistic! A breath of fresh culinary air in Ballywalter, highly recommended !

Went here this evening group of 2 adults 3 children, dough sticks with garlic butter shared as a starter first class, various pizzas for main course, absolutely 1st class, proper authentic artisan pizza really top notch, service friendly and prompt, we will be back for sure.Kid-friendliness: ?

Ordered food told it would take 30 minutes, when we got there it was apparent they had forgot or missed our order so we waited another 25 minutes. During this time we heard the man on the pizza oven be particularly rude to the other staff. I must say however the food was good when it was eventually made.

Lovely cafe, with foodie items to buy too. Friendly staff, great brunch. Fantastic hot chocolates after a breezy walk on the beach. Really clean. Welcoming to dogs in the outside seating area. Unfortunately we only managed to visit once at the end of our holiday as it opens Thurs-Sun.

The staff are lovely, but such a disappointing experience in terms of the food. I ordered the chicken and waffles, the sauce came out with a dead fly in it. The waffles were hard and the chicken was lukewarm. My grandmother and sister had a fry, with both of their potato bread undercooked, their poached egg whites watery and their cup of tea served cold. Unfortunately I don't think we'll be back.
After reading past reviews we couldn't wait to try firebox. I'll start with the buffalo wings, which were severely under cooked, not crisp lacked flavour and meat was still pink. Peppered fries, sauce was watery and bland, fries again soggy and undercooked. 2 Pizzas again, undercooked flapping about with the bare minimum of cheese, sauce and toppings. I mean we waited long 30 mins on the food for a takeaway, we could've waited a little longer for the food to be cooked right. Maybe a different chef, maybe and off night but no value for money whatsoever. £40 just binned. Not happy and wouldn't dream of trying again. I'd say think twice to anyone willing to waste that amount of money on something so bland and mediocre.
