My work colleagues and I stopped in here for our breakfast one Friday, and it did not disappoint..... the sausage was unreal! Undoubtedly, the star of the show. Great clean, non greasy breakfast, and the service was second to none! Definitely give it a shout, you will not be sorry.???

Always friendly staff no matter how busy it gets, lovely for food or just coffee and cake.

Great food, fast and friendly service and our waitress went the extra mile for us by clearing a table near the window so we could have a nice view over the square. We enjoyed a bacon, brie and cranberry panini and a pastrami, pickle and cheese toastie which was delicious!

Had 2 coffee, very nice. But when presented with the bill, the waitress said how much of a tip, it was automatic on the handset.Don't like that,Won't be back.

I had just had my wisdom tooth removed, and chose a softer menu option. The waitress was so emphatic and made my latte cooler, served with a straw. Thank you so much.Vegetarian options: Would love to see more veggie options. Also a different veggie option to the Christmas menu and not just risotto, which everywhere does.

Such a lovely place! The food is really good, we have went many Sundays for breakfast and even if you don’t have a reservation they will try their best to fit you in.

“You just don’t expect a £60 bill when you go into a cafe, do you?” Yes, when the food comes at this price tag, it does require more scrutiny. Our food was quite nice, but I don’t think it was worth the price. I had squid rings which while being good, were comparable to other establishments that do them cheaper. I liked the local emphasis put on serving Hamilton potatoes, but both the chips and fries were a bit soggy and anaemic and didn’t do them justice. The price for non-dairy milk (only oat was available, don’t know if they only ever have oat or if they have more options usually) is 70p, about double the standard, and certainly more than the people who do it for free. I understand some of the reasoning behind the extra price but I’m lactose intolerant and don’t have much choice in the matter. My caramel latte was £4.30.The atmosphere was that of a local cafe. We were seated facing a wall right beside the toilet. The staff started to clear up around us while we were eating, scraping chairs, despite not closing for another hour if I’m correct. I think if you’re trying to provide an upscale dining experience you should reflect that in your décor.

Your dish of poached eggs 24/9 were more akin to hard boiled eggs with a tiny portion of toast decorated with crumbed black pudding really did not warrant the price assigned on menu. Rest of dishes ordered were tasty and sufficient.

Food was tasty but a bit too salty. Expensive for lunch, so will probably go elsewhere for lunch. However, evening menu looks to be better value so will probably give that a go.

A large café but gets very busy. However the food and service are excellent. My family all had breakfasts and I had a scone - we were all very pleased!
