This is a fantastic restaurant and family friendly. The staff are lovely. The food is delicious as are the kids meals. Love the sticky toffee pudding. They do non alcoholic beer including Peroni which I love. Theres a lovely atmosphere. Whether you want to relax with a coffee and read a book or have lunch or dinner. I had dinner here in July and found the food absolutely lovely. Can’t remember the starter, but I had the salted chilli chicken as a main and it was 10/10 ? Perfect Guinness too. Quick service, friendly staff and not too busy or loud for an evening week night.

Brilliant family lunch. We walked in on a Friday afternoon about peak time to chance it to see if we could get a table. I honestly thought we'd have to wait a bit. However a table was quickly cleaned and set. We were seated with menus in no more than 2 minutes. Honestly I couldn't fault anything everything was first class. I do think that next time I'll order 2 starters instead of a main course the portions are huge. All 5 of us could have quite happily taken an afternoon nap. I could see this place becoming one of our regular haunts.

Last time we went to the Bull and Claw we were a little disappointed but my word they are back with a bang! The menu has had a refresh - recommend the duck - and the specials challenged my husband’s decision making skills as there were 3 he couldn’t decide between! He plumped for the lobster and declared it delicious. The service last night was exemplary. Oh and the barman makes a mean gin and tonic! Recommended.

The Bull & Claw is a hidden gem in Newtownards, great food and service. The rib eye is particularly tasty. The crab claws for starter are a must along with Mayday sauvignon blanc fyi fwiw

Nice place, friendly staff, veggie options on the menu. Food was a little slow arriving. One of our group thought the Scampi was a bit overcooked in some and undercooked in others. I had a miso cauliflower burger which was nice but I thought it might be roast cauliflower -which it wasn't. The fries were yummy.
Went with my friend for her birthday and the staff were so very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing, roast dinner, mmmmm. Will definitely be back, soon.

Nice restaurant. Has vegan and vegetarian options which is excellent. I had the roasted cauliflower and miso burger and fries. I thought it would be some exotic roasted cauliflower slice but it was an actual burger - quite soft but tasty, nice fries- sensible portion. Someone in our group had scampi and chips and thought the prawns weren't all equally well cooked. Sticky toffee pudding was beautiful and light. Great wine and beer choices. Food service was a little slow. Would go back
