Nice food but one off the most expensive places in town you don't even get a drink with the kids meal have to buy it

Called in with my daughter for lunch on Friday past. Firstly, the table was sticky with juice having been spilt on it and not wiped clean. We placed our order and were asked if we were paying by cash or card. I didn't think much of this at first until we were brought our drinks which were both wrong and had to be changed and then asked to pay before we had even received our food. Next up the food arrived but we couldn't even eat as no cutlery had been given to us my daughter had to get up to get this. The food wasn't right either. My daughter ordered a boat of gravy and I ordered coleslaw with mine when the food arrived a tiny ramekin of gravy was placed on my plate. When we told the girl she then brought out a tiny ramekin of coleslaw for us to swap. At this point there was gravy slopped all over mine. When I cut into my pastie I discovered it wasn't a pastie it was a battered burger! I asked the girl at the counter do they no longer do a meat and potato pastie to which she replied yes they do but I would have specifically needed to request this. I've been in many times before and have never had to specify a meat and potato pastie! Well am sorry but since when has a battered burger even been a pastie!! Surely if there is more than one choice I should have been asked which I preferred. So a chicken fillet burger meal with only a handful of chips and a battered burger AKA a pastie and a handful of chips with a tiny dish of gravy and coleslaw cost £24.05 which was paid for before the food was even set down in front of us! Long and short of it...poor service, poor communication, poor cleanliness and expensive for all we got but more so it was absolutely ridiculous at having to pay beforehand. I certainly won't be back in a hurry if at all!

Very expensive, food not great.

£8.50 for a very small fry served on a very small plate in a very small sticky little table. I know things have went up in price but £8.50 is absolutely ridiculous.

Wow! Big fan of Wee Barney's ❣️ Fresh, locally sourced food cooked to order- proper sausages & bacon from the butcher's ?Always been my fav place to go in Portadown since I was wee myself. Lovely family vibes with cosy booths and traditional decor.Menu has great array of choice from big breakfasts, fish & chips and filling toasties, sandwiches or baked potatoes.Staff are very accommodating too- they were happy to make alterations to my order because of gestational diabetes and couldn't argue with prices for quality of food received!Highly recommend a visit to all. ?????P.s the coleslaw is divine!

I was in a few weeks ago on a Saturday sitting facing the till. I noticed the young girl kept rolling her eyes every time a new customer arrived. The young fella moaned as he had to leave at a certain time when more people where coming in. They both continued on with there work and the young fella started to make a hot chocolate for a customer while waiting on the hot chocolate he grabbed a bag of mashmallows and took a hand full and put them in his mouth the young girl also done the same. Then he lifted the hot chocolate set it on a tray and used the same hand he had up at his mouth to put marshmallows into the customer's hot chocolate.
