I’ve been coming to the snowy owl for over a decade now, it’s my favourite place to go just to get dinner or even a drink, to relax, I now live in North Carolina and when I come back to visit the uk I always make sure I’m in the snowy owl for it’s food, atmosphere, and the staff are always perfectly welcoming and helpful. I highly recommend the snowy owl to anyone, it is hands down one of or if not the best places to dine and relax in Northumberland.

2 night stay. Pictures and reality do not match. Waited 10 mins to be greeted . Very cold room .no heating on. Slightly scruffy bedroom .. window frame broken. And window screwed shut . No fresh air. Bathroom grim. Mould around shower . Shower controls very stuff that when trying to turn you black slim on your hand . Cold tap loose and turns and spins it's self. Peeling ceiling . No toliet brush. Long hairs on floor. Floor vinyl very badly fitted. Breakfast ..... lack of help your self buffet. No cereals or fruit yoghurt ect. Only available as a ordered item on menu . Very good bacon. The rest tasteless and tough sausages . Good butter. Would not return . Premier inn would have actually been a much better choice. And better value . The reviews I have read do not match what we experienced .

Ignored by staff to busy chatting to each other very uncomfortable atmosphere not at all welcoming thought this the first time so decided to give it a second go and just the same wouldn’t recommend this place at all shame as the badger is so welcoming they couldn’t even work their own loyalty system the girl simply replied I don’t know why it hasn’t worked very poor never again waist of £70 pounds of my hard earned money !

Service and surroundings good we only had morning

Unfortunately not a great deal was best. There was no lamb left and the beef had little taste. Also we were told there was no orange cordial, only lime or blackcurrant. Overall we were disappointed as had been looking forward to it.Parking: Plenty parking spaces.

Julie was very accommodating and as I am pregnant asked if the beef could be cooked

Excellent dog friendly pub, that serves really delicious traditional pub food. The service is always excellent and the prices are great value for money. Definitely recommend.

We had excellent food and service from the moment we arrived. The vegan choices were delicious, particularly the arancini and it's always a treat to have crumble and custard. It was Mothering Sunday and the restaurant was very busy and the standards of professionalism never faltered.Dietary restrictions: Vegan choice is very good .
Went here today with my family as part of a mother's day treat x what a lovely building this pub is,very lovely interior, food was lovely and staff pleasant, bit expensive but loved the food and atmosphere, will go back again ASAP as great place to eat and ? at ,brilliant
