Where to start! I absolutely loved everything about my recent visit to Niko's. The staff were so friendly, the atmosphere was brilliant and the food was really, really good. Especially for veggies, too! It's such a gem on the Morpeth high street and super well-priced. Would highly recommend to anyone - residents or visitors!

Saturday evening family meal for the first time at this restaurant and was left feeling slightly disappointed and underwhelmed after reading the “amazing” and “fantastic” reviews. We were seated quickly but took some time for someone to ask for drink requests. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful but there was no cohesion with the service resulting in food orders being served erratically and for one unfortunate family member, not all. When they did arrive they were a bit disappointing. A lot of comments about the food not being warm enough, and some of the dishes overcooked (chicken souvlaki) which was bone dry, and the prawn dishes slightly bland and lacking in quantity. It would also help to update the online menu so that it replicates the in house menu which was also slightly frustrating. All in all our exoerience was just ok, We’ve had a lot better locally for the final bill we paid and it’s a bit of a shame to say we probably wouldn’t go back.

Ordered a takeaway to collect from here tonight. I ordered the stuffed vine leaves as a starter, and the chicken Gyros as a main. First time I've had food from Niko's, and I'm pleased I ordered. The food was very nice indeed, and the service was on point. Friendly staff, clean and inviting looking restaurant. I wouldn't hesitate to order from here again. Five stars all round.

Loved it so much, we are returning at the end of the month for birthday celebrations! It was fairly quiet the night we went.As usual food and service was spot on.I will mention that the Lamb wasn't the usual shank...please stick with the Shank rather than the cuts of lamb. Other than that, everything was spot on.See you soon Niko'sVegetarian options: Our Veggie friend had the Lasagne...very tasty

Reasonably priced, lovely food and such a lovely welcome and service from Costas! If ever we're back in the area we'll sure visit again!Kid-friendliness: Our kids felt very much welcome. Costas made sure they had a steady stream of ketchup for their chips without them even having to ask! ? Adult menu is also kid friendly.

Delicious food. Calamari was perfect, which not everywhere gets right. The gyros platter and moussaka were also delicious. The owner and staff were very friendly and the service was quick. Would definitely recommend for some delicious Greek food!

I went here with a friend last week. We had the early evening special. The food was delicious. Large portions for a special. There was water and olives on the table when we were seated. I had the butter beans in a tomato and feta sauce, my friend had stuffed vine leafs we bothe had chicken gyros platter followed by icecream. The staff were very friendly and professional. We will definitely go back again

Very disappointing Poor service and overrated quality of food Greek salad was tasteless and I could of presented it better myself. Main - Moussaka was simple on its own with no additional sides. Service guide was seen on the stairs checking his phone as we waited over 15 minutes for the bill. No bread or olives on the table and no pitcher of water available Very poor

Excellent fresh food. Wonderful service. Passing through Morpeth tonight and stumbled upon this fantastic Greek Taverna. Thank you for accommodating us as a late drop in. We were made to feel welcome. If I'm ever passing through again, I will be back. Highly recommended.
