I grew up in the area and came by for a visit with the family. Stopped off in the peacock for a meal 2 adults and 2 kids. Really busy! But the staff did an amazing job at keeping on top of things and provided a wonderful service. The food is just as good as I remembered and a very reasonable price. I would take a star off for the state of the toilets but giving this is mostly grown adults making a mess of them, I can’t see how it would be fair to penalise the establishment for this. The food was top quality and the service was outstanding.

Stopped off here on the drive home from London when Newcastle played Chelsea away the night before. Great service, quality food and afternoon music on for entertainment, plus sports on the TV, so we watched Day 1 of the Cheltenham Festival. Reasonably priced, too. Would recommend.

Been a few times for lunch with my mum. Always have the 2 meals for £10.99, and they're a bargain, tried most over the time, all really nice, and generous portions, not finished one yet!
Visited this pub on a whim as was shopping nearby and was pleasantly surprised The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the food (I have some food allergies) Food portions were big and tasted great Good atmosphere will definitely do a return visit next time I am in the area

I recently visited Peacock Pub and was thoroughly impressed by both the food and the service. Makayla our server is attentive, professional and extremely knowledgeable Makayla ensured that our stay was a memorable one, with humour thrown in too, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring our satisfaction. I can’t recommend Peacock pub highly enough for a fantastic experience & 10/10 to Makayla too. People are quick to complain but rarely say thank you or well done. Thank you & well done ?

We came for Sunday lunch a couple of weeks ago when we visited my step daughter at uni for the 1st time. We needed somewhere local to her as I am in a leg cast & relying on a frame to get around!Definitely not disappointed!!! Beautiful sunday lunch for 2 at an amazing price plus a whale & chips for daugter. Service was fab. Lady on the bar so helpful with seats, drinks & finding food menu. Lady serving straight back with extra gravy.Atmosphere safe & comfortable. We couldn't have been happier. Well done!!!
