Love the food, love the coffee, being in retail myself I know everyone is over worked and under staffed. BUT...a smile and a nice attitude costs nothing and the first person you would would expect it from is the manageress. Sadly not today or on any visit here which is why Ive felt I should leave this review. The other staff member was lovely.

5.30pm Saturday , no one else waiting to be served, ordered 2 large hot chocolates with cream and marshmallows. The very pleasant assistant unfortunately hadn't mixed enough hot chocolate so had to mix more to top up the drinks, she went to get the cream from the fridge and the container was empty so had to mix some more. We eventually got our drinks and went to find a table, two tables where taken by customers and all the other tables where full of empty pots and plates. By the time we had cleared a table ourselves and sat down both drinks were just warm. We drank two thirds and left. Not a good experience and a waste of £10.40.

Very busy store but sadly understaffed and this is obvious when watching the staff on duty trying to serve, clean, prepare drinks and food and you can see the stress on their faces. This is not the first time visiting this store and what surprises me is the fast staff turnover here. No wonder if their working environment is stressful and management seem more bothered about targets than staff welfare!

Quite disappointed with my visit today. Got in at 4.28pm and was denied service flat out. The staff was quite abrupt to say it closes at 4.30pm on a Sunday. However, the info in the Web says it closes at 5pm and the store was full of people enjoying their drinks. I didnt want to make a fuss about the time but a gesture of courtesy would have been appreciated. I visit this store regularly (more than 3 times a week) and the service is normally good.

4.30 and time to clean...banging chairs, tables to swwep and mop and spraying cleaner near me. Miserable server and rest of staff the same. Be better if a section was closed to clean as it'll have to be done again when closed. Coffee was good!

We have been here before.This time there was a lengthy queue and it took longer than expected to get served. There were two members of staff and a trainee.The coffee ☕ was as good as always.
Cannot fault. Staff always friendly, coffee great & comfortable.

Always a warm and friendly welcome from Costa staff, no matter which branch you go to. The coffee is just the best. Can't beat a ginger spiced latte with loads of cream on top and not forgetting the little ginger bread man decoration!
