We have been to andwhynot on a few occasions in the last couple of months and I can honestly say it is one of the best venues in Mansfield for a really nice meal. Most recently we visited for Sunday lunch and were served by Clara and the team. All the staff are really friendly and attentive. We ordered three of the duo meat combos and the other person in our party ordered the vegan pie and we can all confirm the food was delicious. On previous occasions I have ordered the trays and burgers which are just awesome! I’m never disappointed by the food here and I always leave very happy. The venue itself is very nice, clean and inviting. It has a steampunk element to it, and it looks quirky, but homely. Personally, I would prefer the music to be a little bit louder in the main dining room as when it does get busy, you can hear a lot of people talking over one another, so the music being a little bit louder would help drown that noise out, but that’s just personal preference. It’s a really nice atmosphere, and I would recommend this venue to anyone for sure.Thank you team andwhynot for never letting us down!

I’m wondering if there has been a change of chef because the quality has gone down. Cold mushroom starter with soggy bread and flavourless sauce the consistency of condensed soup.I had to order twice and over charged for an extra main, but I was told the manager was too busy to sort this when I called.Second year I’ve been over charged, so I won’t be returning. It’s a shame because I used to love this place.

Been in for their breakfast this morning, great service and lovely food. We both had the full english, the sausage and scrambled egg in particular were delicious, in fact we couldn’t fault it.

We had booked in for breakfast today, what a lovely meal we had. We were served by the wonderful Casey, so attentive with a big smile on her face. The quality of food was exceptional, I had poached eggs which were cooked to perfection. We have visited a few times now and always had delicious food. Would highly recommend.

Visited for breakfast on Christmas Eve as we had heard great things about the breakfast and we were certainly not disappointed. Between us we had the breakfast burritos and the traditional and a large breakfast. The quality of food is excellent, a mention in particular to the sausages which I believe are from a local butcher. Superb! Very tasty breakfast and we will be back. Service was also very good. Our waitress was very attentive. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

We booked breakfast with Santa for myself, my mum and my 3yr old daughter. Upon booking I was asked what time we’d like to arrive and eat so they can organise a personal audience with Santa, I was impressed with that! The day arrived and right from the beginning you was greeted by elves, festive music and a heap of magic all in the setting of a top class venue. My daughter was transported in a little Lapland of Mansfield! On the table waiting were activities for her plus the most adoreable personalised printed message for my daughter which is now next to her Christmas Eve plate! The breakfast is just this one word….WOW!! This venue never skirts on quality or portions and it was out of this world! Next thing, it was time for Santa! Mrs Claus led us personally to the grotto and Santa asked for my daughter by name which was so special. A truly magical experience!! Can I take the time to thank you all for the organisation, the attention to detail and the sparkle required to make an innocent little girls eyes light up (and two much older girls tear up with joy!!). Memories were made that morning that will stay forever xx

If you have never had a Sunday dinner here then you must! Honestly the best Sunday roast around for miles and the best one I have ever had. The portions are very generous and nice to get what you pay for! Plenty of meat which is refreshing and the pigs in blankets we had as a side order are to die for! Service good and attentive, and beautiful ambience. Can’t fault anything! We have also had takeaway roasts from here a number of times and is still as good. Nothing but praise.
