I took my family for a farewell meal before they returned to Germany. We booked for 6.30 but we were not served food until 7.45. The restaurant was not busy. It was also cold and I had to keep on my coat . The food , when it eventually arrived, was of low quality. My dish, a new one, Risotto with roasted butternut squash, sounded great but was hugely disappointing. It was totally inedible and my Grandson could have made a better job of preparing it. Our evening was a total disaster from start to finish. On arrival we weren’t welcomed and it was so cold I kept my coat on. We waited to order; the restaurant wasn’t busy. We then waited 75 minutes for our very simple order to arrive. My dish was so unappealing to look at; the taste and quality, even worse. Undercooked rice swimming in a salty broth with spinach which was hugely overdone. No Rosemary in sight! I sent the dish back and we weren’t charged for it. However they still overcharged us by adding on a desert we didn’t order. The staff were very inefficient and not very knowledgeable. They also didn’t inform us that the card machine was not available, thus involving a walk in very heavy rain to the nearest cash point. This all took two and a half hours for very simple food, of poor quality but also quite expensive: we had a terrible evening and went home hungry and hugely disappointed. I was really embarrassed and was very let down by Bella Italia. Never, ever again!!

We visit this restaurant frequently. The staff are amazing. Particularly Joe and Lisa who can’t do enough to help. Always smiling even when it super busy. We love coming here! Food is lovely. Always a great standard. Blue light discount means it’s even better value.

The food was amazing and at a good price, there's quite a lot to choose from on the menu, both me and my boyfriend really liked our meals! The staff were really nice and helpful too, we didn't feel arkward or anything when they came to talk to us like I've felt at other places before in the past either. Also the atmosphere was good too, definitely a restaurant I want to go to more often in the future!

Service was not there, they was only 8 tables in altogether yet had to ask to be served when we wanted more drinks and dessert. Only 1 person ask if anything was okay, 2 minutes into us having main. It took that long to be able to get someone to come over. As soon as I start to write this review a member of staff saw me doing it and then wanted to know why I was doing a review. Why do you think? That really topped off tonight was the fact when it came to discount I was question so much about them. The manager told me I could have them but then a server telling me I can't. What the hell. Can you start to make sure all the server are on the same line.A very unhappy experience for my birthday.
