“We came here to try the Sunday dinner as it will soon be our local, the food was fantastic, I had the pork belly and my wife had the beef, both cooked to perfection, and the selection of veg was great (no leeks thank god) the gravy was awesome, just needed a slice of bread to mop it all up! The kids roast was spot on as well! For dessert had the burnt basque cheesecake, the sticky prune pudding and the chocolate cake, all were amazing, we will be back to try the rest of the menu in the future ??”

“The food was absolutely fine. Lovely decor, nice people. However, very disappointed with being prompted to pay a service charge at the bar.

A living wage is paid by law, tips are optional and putting people on the spot, in a public space is not acceptable. Especially when they have already left their tip on their table. We paid a further £7 on top of the bill as well as the tip we left, out of embarrassment. For that reason, and that reason alone, we will not return.”
