Went to watch a band but poor acoustics and people just talking while musicians are playing, not really a music venue more of a check in venue..

Well what an experience CANVAS Above And Why Not shared the big New Years Eve celebration. Canvas had both Abba and Erasure tributes on which were both fantastic . Included in the deal was amazing sharing boards then hot roast cobs .The staff were great serving drinks at the tables as were the guys behind the bar service was so fast. Overall a Fantastic night with a great atmosphere great Dj's great acts and great food . I would happily say one of the best New Years Eve 's Ive experienced

It's a really good place to go if you like tribute acts. There is a restaurant downstairs, which I didn't try, where you can eat before the show or you can eat pizza from your allocated seat. We had been allocated a high table with tall chairs and as a couple of us wanted to eat, I asked the guy at the door, I assume Owner or Manager, if there was anywhere we could move to. He found us a lower table. He runs the place well, and It was full. The doors are open by 6.30pm and the show starts at 8.30pm so it's good to be able to have something to eat before the show.We went to see "Whitney Houston" she was really good. You can have a dance near your table if you want to.So it was a really good night out and I will go again and excellent for a Wednesday night out.Location - was easy to find, right next to Mansfield Palace theatre with a car park just round the corner.

We had booked in for breakfast today, what a lovely meal we had. We were served by the wonderful Casey, so attentive with a big smile on her face. The quality of food was exceptional, I had poached eggs which were cooked to perfection. We have visited a few times now and always had delicious food. Would highly recommend.

Visited for breakfast on Christmas Eve as we had heard great things about the breakfast and we were certainly not disappointed. Between us we had the breakfast burritos and the traditional and a large breakfast. The quality of food is excellent, a mention in particular to the sausages which I believe are from a local butcher. Superb! Very tasty breakfast and we will be back. Service was also very good. Our waitress was very attentive. Go, you won’t be disappointed!

We booked breakfast with Santa for myself, my mum and my 3yr old daughter. Upon booking I was asked what time we’d like to arrive and eat so they can organise a personal audience with Santa, I was impressed with that! The day arrived and right from the beginning you was greeted by elves, festive music and a heap of magic all in the setting of a top class venue. My daughter was transported in a little Lapland of Mansfield! On the table waiting were activities for her plus the most adoreable personalised printed message for my daughter which is now next to her Christmas Eve plate! The breakfast is just this one word….WOW!! This venue never skirts on quality or portions and it was out of this world! Next thing, it was time for Santa! Mrs Claus led us personally to the grotto and Santa asked for my daughter by name which was so special. A truly magical experience!! Can I take the time to thank you all for the organisation, the attention to detail and the sparkle required to make an innocent little girls eyes light up (and two much older girls tear up with joy!!). Memories were made that morning that will stay forever xx

If you have never had a Sunday dinner here then you must! Honestly the best Sunday roast around for miles and the best one I have ever had. The portions are very generous and nice to get what you pay for! Plenty of meat which is refreshing and the pigs in blankets we had as a side order are to die for! Service good and attentive, and beautiful ambience. Can’t fault anything! We have also had takeaway roasts from here a number of times and is still as good. Nothing but praise.

Absolutely amazing, the team did a fantastic job in organising the event. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, all cooked to perfection. Sausages locally sourced, the bacon was delicious, tomatoes cooked to perfection. Hash browns were delicious, mushrooms slightly overdone but it was a very busy event so the chef would have been super busy. My only downside was the butter came already placed on the bread in a portion, I have an intolerance to butter so I had to have dry toast. But other than that is was delicious.

Visited last night for the first time at my husband's Christmas work do. Radio Romantic was the act with a two course Christmas dinner. We arrived about 6.50pm, was given our wristbands and shown to our tables (we had 2 due to numbers). We'd literally only been seated for about 5-10 minutes before the main courses started coming out and oh my, was it delicious! We both had the traditional Christmas turkey dinner. It looked great and tasted even better. It took a little time to get each plate to the right person but that's to be expected when there's a large group with different choices over two tables!Dinner plates were cleared and desserts started arriving about 10 minutes after. Hubby had the honeycomb cheesecake and I had the bakewell tart. Both were delicious and good sized portions. Plates were cleared and later the act were on, who were also really good...he's a real performer and clearly loves the attention of the crowd.Staff were polite and friendly and it was generally a really good night. Would definitely return to see another act and the chefs and kitchen staff did a fantastic job ?

Had a lovely meal on Friday 8th December for my friend’s birthday. Highly recommend! Great atmosphere in the bar area and welcoming in the restaurant. The slow cooked beef was incredible and still thinking about it a few days later! Just wanted to say how helpful and attentive clara was, very friendly and approachable. Definitely will be back sooner rather than later!!
