I'm glad I visited this place as it is closing down on the 17th of September, 2023. This might be for renovation as there were loads of buckets catching water, and the place did look a bit tired .But the staff served us quickly, and the beer was cold .Another Wetherspoons of my list in the nick of time.

Went to watch the world cup final, the big screen was not watchable and the TV screens had no sound. A bit run down. Food was good

Went in for a cheeky pint late at night . Cheap beer and food. The staff were friendly.Pub and toilets were very clean. Shame there's no music but it's cheap drinks so that's ok.Would recommend this place.5*****Parking: No parking outside except for disabled I think . There are a few pay and display car park close by so not a problem.Wheelchair accessibility: Pub is on ground floor so all ok for wheelchairs. Not sure if there is a disabled toilet downstairs, you would have to ask.

Great place. Nice atmosphere, the staff were polite and the place was clean. No random wet marks on the tables.

Very rare I visit this place. Recently I visited for food which was really nice. Service is OK again this depends on how busy it is. I've visited twice on a night out, the atmosphere is ok but not for me I like to hear music. Everyone is different so if you like a chat over food or meeting up before your night out then this is the place to be.

I ordered a drink that did not come with ice or lemon when I asked for it.I also ordered mushy peas with my fish and chips but came with normal peas.

Fantastic food always get the large mix grill with all the meats which most places don't do but these do & with a drink. I finish of with a pudding with custard & it tastes amazing each time very cheap ?Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelie on in

The food here is much, much better than the stag and pheasant. Even though they are both owned by wetherspoons. The widow frost is a better choice everytime.

Nice pub lots of seating good choice of food and drink. Toilets upstairs but a bit of a climb. Disabled toilet downstairs but sometimes not very clean

Nothing special here just a box standard spoons. Only one at the bar and staff want to keep talking at the end of the bar then eventually serve.

I don't like to leave unkind reviews but I didn't find the widow frost to be a pleasant environment for a meal. We began our visit by finding a table. Those that were not occupied were still covered in remnants of previous customers meals but we did find one near the entrance that only require a wipe down. We chose to the order at-table using the app, and drinks were brought straight out, well apart from the cappuccino which was a self serve machine in the corner offering a lukewarm half cup of something that visually resembles a cappuccino. We only waited about 10 minutes for our food which was served on something akin to my great grandmother's chipped and well used crockery. Staff were friendly enough though appeared very busy and very disorganised which explained the less than clean environment. The child's breakfast that was brought out at the same time as the other two meals was clearly cooked a good five minutes after the adults meals judging by the cold sausage and egg cob that I was served. The only saving grace to the visit was the unlimited coffee refills, although not great coffee it was drinkable. Overall I would not visit again.Kid-friendliness: They have an extensive children's menu, high chairs ( that all need a deep clean) a baby changing station ( in the disabled toilet with the door propped open in front of a bank of slot machines).Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is wheelchair accessible but the tables are close together and don't leave enough room to manoeuvre a self propelled wheelchair. The disabled toilet is also in a tight location with the door propped open with a heavy bin as it also the only place with a baby change station.

Good food, good drinks, staff and bouncers are very friendly. Can't fault the place.....Other than the disabled toilet. It's disgusting! There's a puddle of urine on the floor no one clears up because it's not longer the disabled toilet, it's the I can't be arsed to walk up the stairs toilet! I went into it as my knees mean I struggle with stairs and there was a bloke just passing with the door open!My brother uses a wheelchair, so in order to use the bathroom he has to get urine on his hands because it gets on his wheels. That's horrible, It also wouldn't be a problem if theyCLOSED THE RADER KEY DOOR!
