I've never been before, but I was following my old band "Back 2 the Future" and had reason to attend. Great venue, reasonably-priced ale and a friendly atmosphere make this pub an easy choice for a Saturday night. ?

We come in this pub now and again as it’s local, we were looking forward to seeing a local live band however we ended up witnessing a disabled lad sobbing as the landlord refused him a seat. All but a few tables were reserved. The poor lad had no choice to leave. It was absolutely disgusting. We then heard that they’d refused a seat to another elderly disabled lady too!! The so called locals came in at 8;45 and then started having a go at another man who was saying it was a disgrace that the lad had to leave. Their response: well the band shouldn’t have a following. Lovely people-not! Public house ? Seats should have been on a first come first served basis as is the case everywhere. But to actually approach a disabled lad and tell him he can’t sit there is surely against the law? Dispicable behaviour from the obnoxious landlord and so called ‘locals’ we will never visit this place again

Visited this establishment to see a family member in a live band as we follow them regularly. We are a family of 4 with one family member having multiple disabilities including a visual impairment and autism. We arrived to find multiple tables with reserved on them. It was so busy it was difficult to move and actually dangerous. We sat at a table and was told by bar staff that we needed to move because the table was reserved for regular customers. We tried to explain we needed seats due to disabilities but we're told there was space round the back. We had come to see the band....how is someone with a visual impairment meant to see from there? Long story short, due to health and safety reasons we had no choice but to leave without even getting a drink which left our son distraught. Try explaining to someone with autism its not safe to stay and watch your uncle play in his band when you had been looking forward to it for weeks. He was inconsolable. I spoke to the landlord and tried to explain i was unhappy with the situation as we had a disabled son and his reply was "i have a disabled son myself and am highly offended by what you have said" you would think if that was the case he would of understood our frustration. God help everyone in that place should there be a fire or other emergency. No chance of getting out safely at all and the landlords attitude was disgusting. Disability discrimination act say's you need to make reasonable adjustments. The landlord needs to make massive adjustments mainly to his attitude towards customers. Will not be going back. Not a warm welcome to new customers only care about regulars.

Absolutely awful service. Reserved seats for people when should be a first come first serve. Have a disabled brother and won’t let him sit down as the table is ‘reserved’. Would never recommend.
Went to see a band and the landlord had reserved seats for all the locals No chairs No tables 2 disabled people were told to move because the table was reserved Don’t bother coming here unless you live around the corner

Came to see a local band with my disabled mum and dad. Arrived at seven thirty to ensure we could get a seat and all bar three of the tables were reserved and empty. We asked if my mum could sit at one of the places and the landlord said: no they’re for the locals! He made my disabled mum feel humiliated and he made her not only move but expect her to stand!!!!! I’ve always thought public house meant for the public. We’ve followed loads of bands and never ever had this. The landlord should be ashamed of himself I’m reporting him to the brewery.
