Fantastic family meal at Bella Italia last night. Our waiter/manager Sam was absolutely first class. We were on our way to the panto and only had a short time to have a meal before the show started but Sam reassured us he would make sure we were served without any delay which he did in a very professional and friendly way.The food was really good and quite reasonable. Great location too!Highly recommended.

I have tried a few Bella Italian restaurants... Bury, Telford, Liverpool all lovely but never have I experienced such bad food and service as I did in Nottingham. Dried up overpriced starters. Main course was dry tasteless pasta like it came out of a microwave, the waiter was arrogant and unhelpful. Definitely NOT worth a

The lads serving we're lovely however unfortunately its where the good bit ends.Very slow service..we was seated and 20mins passed before we was asked about drinks,as we sat there trying to get attention but was not to be.Sorry but the food was bland and tasteless, and after we had finished and the plates had been taked we was sat waiting for the bill, till had to ask for it and then once the bill had been given had to wait another 15-20 mins to try and pay ti i just went upto the bar to pay...WHAT IS IT WITH MAKING PEOPLE WAIT TO PAY THE BILL..WAS TEMPTED TO WALK OUT...POOR FOOD AND WORSE SERVICES.Needless to say will not be going there again and can not recommend the place at all. Very Disappointing all round!!

The food is average.. the pizza sauce tasted like uncooked tomatoes, the polo fungi pasta was cold, lack a taste and the chicken!I am a bit surprised by all the 5 stars comments .. the meal really disappointed us!

unimpressed. dont even have the words. the wait was a joke for there at 5.30 didn’t leave till gone 7 and waiting for food was over an hour and when it came food was cold and they didn’t bring out garlic bread and told us to wait. we let them know our food was cold and took it away and reheated and the garlics breads were just sat on our table. then waited for puddings 30 minutes and staff just weren’t apologetic or bothered of our presences in store. we have had another bad experience here and to give them another chance and was even worse was really annoying for us being kind! didn’t even offer drinks or anything to make up for there mistakes.

The stuffed gnocchi are identical to the ones sold at the supermarket but they are 5 in number for 5 GBP …. The calzone arrived half cold and a a kid size. Pasta was overcooked by far and the other pizza made a supermarket pizza look good by comparison. I will never go back although it used to be good before lockdown

Visited last night after looking around the Christmas market. Place was very busy. Received extremely friendly and attentive service from Ollie our waitor who showed us to a table and gave us menus. Food was amazing. My son had the ribs and I had the seafood risotto. Very enjoyable and a great ambience. Wine is pricey but it's not very often I eat out and this was a treat.

So yesterday was really busy in Nottingham with the Xmas market and we booked our meal expecting difficulty in finding a suitable restaurant. Service at Bella Italia was pretty good but when we told our waiter that our starters weren't hot enough no action was taken other than 'we'll look at that '. Also portion size of the calamari was very small and looked like it was the last bits in the packet, each piece was really small. The main course soon arrived and service seemed friendly and efficient, but once again the meal itself was not hot. My pollo cachiatore was cold by the time I finished it and I'm not a slow eater. We left feeling disappointed and we'll not be returning.

Great restaurant with delicious food. Josh was an amazing waiter and really made the experience much more enjoyable. I had the garlic dough balls - best I’ve had - and the pepperoni pizza - the dough was really nice for this but quite oily in the middle of the pizza. Please note students: you can’t get a discount on the set menu!!
