This place is not good. Always run out of anything nice. Cold sausage rolls?? How is it that Greggs could be better than this?

I have over the years been a frequent visitor to Birds Beeston love the food andcobs from there the problem is I have mobility problems and on several occasions have not been able to enter the shop therenot many passers by that I can ask to open the boor for meto get in and have had to return home empty handed. The staff are lovely friendly and helpful if I get in and understand the difficulty of not being able to see someone on a mobility scooters waiting at the door . could there be a bell installed to attract attention to the door to attract attention?D Morris

Very disapointing now the layout has changed drastically. It used to be a lovely retreat for a coffee and a snack/cake etc. Hardly any seating. Paper cups, cakes in a Box. Won't be on our radar again. Greg's or Costa next time.

Has no ability to decipher a sausage from a sausage roll. Clearly asked for a sausage and a cheese and onion large roll, charged us for that and gave us a sausage roll. We went for a 20 minute walk only to sit and find the wrong item in the bag.I hate sausage rolls.... so that left one of us with nothing to eat. Went to Greggs instead, they got it right.

I visited the Beeston store yesterday morning (sept 30th) with my husband and we had a lovely breakfast and hot drink each. Fast and efficient table service by some lovely ladies, i also bought some of my favourite 'shiny cobs' & potted meat and a naughty cake! Thank you birds, great quality as always x

Never been impressed with Birds, which is a shame as they have so much potential to be great. They've usually ran out of whatever you might want by early afternoon, the pasties and other baked savoury items are served cold. The staff can be quite sniffy, with an air of "oh well, that's the way it is, mere customer" although some are quite friendly.I know that times are difficult, but this is a business that has some lessons to learn and changes to make.

Very sad that you fired a lady working here for 45 years just because she was trying to still offer a service to the elderly because you didn't allow cash. Not everyone has cards especially the elderly. Give her, her job back and be kind!!!!

I love this place. In its centennial year and just gets better and better. The staff here are lovely and helpful and friendly. The sausage stuffing cobs are a great way to start the day and their selection of cakes is to die for. Had a chocolate layer finger here recently which was demolished with relish. Also one of their loaves I can't be trusted with. The oat and rye (I think it's called) lasts me a matter of hours. Can't leave it alone lol

I do think birds is fantastic, but unfortunately it only gets 3 stars from me because I feel they are let down by the fact they only have to 2 card machines in there. The queues can be horrendous on a Saturday morning! I was waiting up to 30 minutes. I think such a bid establishment should be focusing on customer service. In today’s society people are busy, they want quick service I don’t go anymore because I feel like it takes way too long to buy a few cobs!

Absolutely disgraceful! I went to go in there back entrance this morning which mind you I do some mornings and order a hot drink. Before I even got a meter through the door was stopped by a very rude lady asking if I was walking through or if I was going to buy something. I was confused and asked "are you not open yet" she replied yes we are. Keep in mind it's also raining outside! I then said can I not buy anything she replied you can't walk through without purchasing something. I was so confused as how rude she was!! So I left and went to Costa Coffee and got my hot chocolate.I normally spend approximately £7/15 a week at this place as I do like there breads and pastries. I can tell you now I will never return.Horrible customer service for no reason whatsoever. Being polite and a smile costs nothing. Will definitely never go back. What a shame.
