I came in with my nan today. I called beforehand as she has dementia and can become be quite overstimulated and emotional. So I asked for a table out of the way. The manager was a pleasure when we arrived. He was so flexible and gentle with my nan, giving her the choice of where she wanted to sit. I'm really grateful for that. The staff were all delightful, unintrusive, but attentive. My nan had such a lovely experience here. The food was lovely. The only thing I'd say is the steak needed something else. I'm not sure what, but it needed just something else with it. Everything else was great! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

We were welcomed by staff and seated in a very nice booth. We had a have nice and friendly waiter attend to us who was a manager who was visiting from the Oxford branch. He made us feel welcome and at ease. When he heard we were celebrating a birthday he kindly gave us a bottle of wine on him and made sure we were all having a good time throughout. He made the experience a delight. We will be sure to go back very soon for the excellent food, nice atmosphere and wonderful staff. Highly recommend.

This place is not what it was! Service was slow ,service staff spent a lot of time around the bar area talking which explains the slow service. Like a previous reviewer commented, my steak was burnt on one side and tasted bitter, the worst steak I have ever had. Very disappointing night out for my wife's birthday.

The varied menu was just right and food quality excellent. Would have given five star rating but it took three attempts to get the right bill as drinks incorrectly charged. Nonetheless would return.

Smart restaurant. Food was prepared nicely, There was quite a wide choice of dishes, including vegetarian. We plumped for the fish Parmentier and pork belly for which we could find no fault. The restaurant only serve bottled beers so I couldn't have a lager shandy, but not a major problem. All in all a good place to come for a quality meal out

We were a large party of 19 diners, served by Henry. Speaking personally I can recommend this Restaurant wholeheartedly. The meal was well cooked, delicious and expertly serve by Henry, who did an amazing, professional job serving the meals and drinks brilliantly.
Great food and great service from friendly and welcoming staff. Will go again for sure!

Limited menu with several dishes not available. One main was sent back along with its replacement and mains were not charged. Very nice and apologetic staff in the circumstances but such a disappointment.

Great place for family dinner , it was six of us and between us we had 5 different starters , and 4 different mains, all was absolutely ?. Great selection of Rose. Our waiter Dan was very knowledgeable , polite and patience , Big thanks to Dan.We definitely will be back.

Limited menu, which isnt desperately interesting had several n/a dishes on the night. Salmon croquettes for the table had barely been sampled before starters arrived. Calamari and crab starters were pleasant in fairness. Main course burger was overcooked, replacement minute steak was very salty although roast chicken dish was acceptable but not enjoyed. Very nice, polite and apologetic staff and a generously reduced bill but sadly a terrible experience.

This Cote has gone downhill or has had a bad night when we went. We've been coming here off and on for about the 10 years it has been open and this last occasion was the worst by far. The service was good and the waitress we had was very nice. Sadly the food was very expensive for what you get and even after spending £34 for a starter/main and side my wife was still hungry, that's how little the food is. The portions are way too small and they were not of high quality either, sorry to say. There are better options nearby and we won't be coming back here for a long time if ever.
