Really homely pub, interesting layout of rooms. Quaint decor, nice beers. Definitely not 21st century, which was lovely. Some settees and comfy chairs. Well worth a visit.

Love this quirky old style pub, with a modern twist. I love that it's small, homely and inviting. Great choices of gin, whiskey & beer. They even do food, but I've not tried any yet. I'm sure it'll be fab, just like the gem of a place this is!

Another favourite of mine, a nice cosy place to relax in, friendly staff and a good range of beers too. I did not try the food but noticed there was a choice of veggie options.

No Sunday Lunch on for my visit, but the food I had was excellent. Nice drinks selection too.

What can I say, PROBABLY THE BEST HIDDEN GEM IN NOTTINGHAM!!! We just called in on the off chance while doing a Nottingham themed mystery adventure, the food and drink was superb value and the Beer selection equally amazing real value for money Dogs welcomed, the owners really need to give their staff some support and more staff to help really busy Saturday nights,

For a pub in the grimey ghetto of Nottingham; this place is rather nice! Good beers, nice decor and a fire! (Tho gas not wood...) Felt almost

Called in this establishment for a lunch time drink and bar meal. Started off very well nice flaming gas fire gave a nice cosy welcoming feeling to the place. There were menus on all the tables, we perused the menu and made our choice. On going to the bar to order I was dismayed to be told that they were not serving bar meals that day, Sunday. The place then became packed and very noisey with a crowd of people waiting to be seated in the restaurant for Sunday lunch. It wouldn't have killed them to make the sandwiches that were in the menu for us. All in all not a pleasant visit to the Cock and Hoop, they didn't jump through the Hoop to give us very good customer satisfaction.

Lovely comfortable pub

We came here, on the recommendation of a friend from Manchester, who stayed at the hotel next door when we were looking for an "authentic" British pub. They have a variety of local ales and beers on tap and a nice menu with some pizzas, pies, and sandwiches. The food was fresh and tasty and we sampled a few half-pints of local ales.Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately not accessible as there are "one or two stairs" in a couple of spots and narrow passageways to the washrooms.

Quirky yet very cosy décor. Warm and friendly service. Great lunchtime offers with a selection of veggie choices not just one. Excellent choice of cask and keg ales, with local and festive ones too. It's a firm favourite for us.
