Just do not go save your money, really bad food really bad staff, the staff act like 10 year olds having a tantrum. One girl blonde with glasses was extremely rude when I complained about my food she ignored me and kep say hmm and k like I'm her dad telling her off, really unprofessional service and very bad food, apart from the burger that was very nice, chicken wing tasted out of date, the BBQ sauce tasted like sweet and sour and the onion rings wasn't even onion ring, they did take the rings back and ask to make another one but the chef put too much batter on so the onion wasn't cooked, I know the crack I used to be a chef and any chef knows not to drench the onion in the batter or it won't cook the inside. Very unprofessional!! One member of staff was very nice tho and that was the bar tender was a very lovely lady and poured a very nice glass of coke. The manager tried to be professional but needs to train her staff on how to speak and maintain their professionalism in the workplace.Save yourself and just avoid it at all costs.

It’s a lovely pub with a brilliant chef, the service was friendly but a bit clumsy, I asked for one of the starters which she came back and told me they had run out of, then I asked for an alternative and the same happened. Otherwise the service was so nice and friendly. The started I ended up with was king prawn cocktail which is a favorite, but to be honest it was a poor attempt. I only counted because it looked stingy but there were 8 small prawns so they were just under £1 each. I’m not sure if it’s just the presentation but it looked and felt very disappointing. That being said, the rest of the food was delicious! Definitely recommend the Shepherds pie!!

Lovely venue and great staff / atmosphere.Good summer venue.Good venue all year round. One ask ....I only wish the menus had calorie calculations on all the food items across all the menus.I've been here many times over the years.Service is good, Staff friendly and lovely. My visit. Not that busy 7 pm on Thursday evening. Warm and seated quickly.Set mains, 2 course £16.50 and normal menus available.2 meals with a bottle of wine and a soft drink. £51.00.Prawns for starters. Chicken Burger with fries. Nice but would have opted for salad instead of chips or rice. ( Freshly cooked)Bangers and mash.No specials menu when weArrived.Would visit again.

Myself and my Husband met a friend here on 27th December 2023. We had three meals and desserts. I had fish & chips and there was hardly any fish, it was all batter. I asked for pouring cream with my crumble, they didn't have any. My Husband had a curry and he said it was awful, no sauce and the Naan bread was rock hard and no poppadom was given. The whole meal came to £90 with drinks. It certainly wasn't worth that amount. We have been other places that had done lovely home cooked food for less money.Sorry but we won't be going back anytime soon, unless we hear the standard of food has changed.Very disappointing.
