Reviewing objectively, and ignoring that it is a nightclub which by definition makes it a 1/5, this place was among the better I've been to.This is because of the sick downstairs room playing blink 182.Lost one star because of the long queue and ID check on individuals clearly not under 18.

Rock City is such a great venue. There's room to breathe, great service. It's clean and the toilets are not unpleasant. The queuing has a little bit to be desired, but no showstoppers.

Rock City what more do you need to say apart from a must go place for lovers of live music. Great night out. Only downside is the infamous Rock City toilets, peg on nose and off you go.

This place has bern here a long time, I have attended here as a nightclub and when artist have a gig. Last gig attended was, The Streets. Was a brilliant atmosphere- honestly was amazing. Not a large selection of beers but something for everyone

Great venue for music, we managed to double book and see Poets of the Fall in the main venue, and The Hara in the smaller room next door. I popped between both happily.2 pint cocktails for £8 were great too!

Rock city is a great venue and the staff are friendly and accommodating. My partner has to use a wheelchair and the venue has always been great about letting us in early for gigs so we can secure a spot where they can actually see the gig, rather than a sea of people standing in front of them. Security staff are especially thoughtful and accommodating.

Rock City in Nottingham is undeniably one of the Midlands' premier venues, consistently hosting some of the best acts in the music industry. It's a hub of musical excellence that keeps the heart of Nottingham beating to a rock 'n' roll rhythm. The atmosphere inside Rock City is electric. From the moment you step through the doors, you're immersed in an unforgettable experience. The energy of the crowd, the quality of the sound, and the intimacy of the setting make it a top-notch choice for live music enthusiasts. What's even better is that the drinks are reasonably priced, making it easier for everyone to have a great time. However, for smokers, it might not be the best place, as the smoking shelter tends to get crowded quickly during intermissions. One thing that stands out is the venue's commitment to safety. You can enjoy your night out knowing that you're in a secure environment, and the staff is vigilant in maintaining order and tidiness throughout the evening. It's a testament to their dedication to providing a great experience for all attendees.Rock City is where unforgettable memories are made, and it's a must-visit for any music lover in the Midlands. Whether you're there for a legendary band or a promising newcomer, you're in for a treat in this rock and roll haven.

Rock City remains one of the best live music venues in the UK. We have seen many different types of bands and gigs here over the last 26 years, and we still look forward to going back every time.

The pure nostalgia of returning to rock City coupled with the band being outstanding definitely helps with the score.Saying that though, queues were fine, beer prices not terrible (still a lot more than when I was in my youth) and I dare say I didn't stick to the floor once.

What can I say? This place is my spiritual home. Gig or club night, doesn't matter: you know you're gonna have a great night, meet interesting people and leave with a few more stories to tell. What more do you want? Go there :)

Turned up for Skindred. Sent in early to avoid the crowds as we had disabled access-ambulant disabled. Situated on the balcony well. Security brought raised, quality and supportive seating. Real comfy. Seen some saying about bar prices- a soft drink and a lager £7.50 which is what I paid in a rock bar previous to gig, so it's not overpriced. Booking tickets is always super simple. We were ushered out of the back entrance at the end of the show to avoid standing in the rush so my advice is buy merch before bands start playing. It's just the right size for a concert- everyone can see the stage. It's very clean and maintained well. Would recommend again

I love this venue, had some fantastic nights here. And Freya Ridings on Sunday night was no exception. Great crowd. Efficient bar staff, drinks reasonable prices. Just a good place attracting great bands. Close to the city centre. I parked in the Victoria centre car park. Currently only £5 for the nights parking. 10 min stroll.

Great atmosphere, great music and a massive crowd too. It did get super busy and one of my friends was pushed to the ground only because of the sheer amount of people on the dance floor - so definitely something to watch out for but other than that was a great experience
