This is clearly a popular option, and you'd be advised to reserve a table. Deservedly so, too. This is an organisation that helps young people with additional learning needs learn the skills to work. The staff are a mixture of the young people, with adults to guide them. So service is lovely, as you watch a young person learn how to do it. But it's not slow - we ate in in our hour long lunch break and took takeaway back for other colleagues.Food is prepared with love: oven-baked jacket potatoes, home made quiches, breakfasts, sandwiches, a range of specials, and probably other things I've forgotten. Did I mention the cakes? I had to restrain myself but they looked delicious!Decent prices, decent selection of vegetarian options. Highly recommended.

What a great community area, the lady's and gents are very polite, very organised, other towns could learn a lot from this place, giving everyone in the community a chance to pick up lifeskills. Amazing place

Tucked away from the town centre of Kimberley is the rumbletums café, placed on a side street with a car park within easy walking distance from the café, which is free for ,1 hour and pay as you stay thereafter at reasonable cost. The café is quite the hub for the local community and also offers various activities at the building including seated yoga classes and various workshops that involve people of all ages and abilities in the local community. The café which is run by volunteers and staff who are all keen to offer you a good selection of home produced in house baked goods and home cooking style hearty meals , plus salad and brunch / breakfast options plus a good selection of sandwich choices. The coffee served here is of a very high standard and is roasted locally in the Nottingham area , I myself consider it a gourmet blend !! , And might I add it is a £1 cheaper per cup than some other high street chain coffee shops , I noticed all the staff were friendly and most polite and all working as a great team . The premises were clinically clean and spotless and the kitchen area was fully visible and looked ultra clean which is a good sign . The seating area is well set out for the less able and wheelchair accessible , with a good bit of room to spare , family tables are available and all are sensibly spaced apart to follow the current COVID status requirements. Upon our visit the cakes were very popular and , some people had reserved there special treat by phoning ahead , so that's how good they are !! . I recommend at the weekends you would book a table for a group as I'm sure they would appreciate it as it could get busy.i have posted a few pictures of the interior and a few of the staff who all worked hard to make our visit a very special one I hope to return again soon as I'm sure that most who visit feel the same . The rumbletums café is a great asset to the local community and is a progressive employer that supports a youth life skills program . A must place visit for a good cup of coffee and quality food in a family safe environment coupled with prices that most can afford, this business is a people over profit establishment and i truly believe it's working for all involved Highly recommend for a special treat.
Lasagne was gorgeous and I found it à very friendly place I will be going again

We have been visiting this charming little café for a couple of years now, including during the Covid restrictions when they could only serve takeaway. The staff are always very welcoming and the breakfasts are both delicious and excellent value. Added to this is the fact that it all benefits a great community cause.
