Came across this cafe as we explored the city, couldn't resist buying some of the cakes from the window to take away. We chose a millionaire shortbread and bakewell. Both were delicious. We'll try and make time to pop in on another occasion.

Went for brunch with our student son - really fresh food, maybe bread slices a bit too thick?!....but we all enjoyed our food and drinks.. Scrambled eggs especially good. Also a mango dream smoothie was excellent. Had a takeout choc slice for later, v nice but slightly air-dried from sitting in window uncovered? Prices reasonable, service excellent. Would return for sure.

Lovely selection of cakes & ciabattas. Nice coffee too.

We had breakfast with a coffee and a slice of cake. Both the Voctoria Sponge and the walnut and coffee one are very good. Voice service and friendly staff. Unfortunately the coffee is decent and the blend here in the UK is very strong for an espresso.

The food is good if you want to sit in a nice cafe and enjoy a hot drink in the city centre. The cakes are very tasty and have many options.

Coffee was ok, albeit not as hot as I’d have liked and it got cold very quickly. I had the vegan sausage sandwich on granary bread which just fell apart when trying to eat it. The bread wasn’t the freshest and the sausages were so pale they didn’t look cooked through. The food was not very hot either. Disappointing breakfast, won’t be returning.

Great cafe in the city centre.

10/10 for the food, 1/10 for the uncoordinated service. We called in for coffee and cake, expecting to get coffee and cake. What we actually got was coffee, the eventually, after chasing it up and being told my order was still awaiting attention, the cake arrived. By this time our coffee was half finished and quickly cooling. Once they get the coordination sorted out this could be a good place to visit.
