The Radcliffe is a good find for vegans. We have a separate menu making it easier to choose and the food is beautifully cooked. I had pearl barley risotto followed by ginger sponge pudding with rhubarb compote and ice cream. Absolutely yummy. I will be back. Service was friendly and welcoming.

We were a party of 10 celebrating a "special" birthday. Two families from different parts of the country meeting midway. The booking was made over the phone and confirmed. Disappointingly when we arrived they had no trace of our booking. After 10 minutes they managed to accommodate us. Not very satisfactory. However food very good and service ok.

A large group of us went 23 Dec in the evening and most of us orded of the festive menue. I had duck Pate for starter and that was very nice. I had a turkey dinner, very nice and the turkey was soft and moist. The portion was not too big. It was table service and staff came round regularly asking if anyone would like drinks and clearing empty glasses and plates etc. Everyone in my group enjoyed their meal and there was colouring to occupie the children. The disbuld toilet is not a radar key one and is a baby changing room to. The disabled toilet was clean and smelled nice, there was even hand cream. I had to ask staff to sort the paper towl dispencer and they where very quick at sorting it. The pub is easy to get to by public transport, bus and train station not far from it; please be awear the train station is unmand and the last train back to Nottingham is 9pm; also be awar that the Radcliff villager bus stops running by 8pm from Radcliffe, you can catch the Mainline but but that quite a walk back into Radcliffe to get it. The pub is well worth a visit, it has a large carpark.

The restaurant bit was empty except for myself. Trying to get served was not as easy as I would expect. As I think they were understaffed. It was 5pm on a Thursday. The menu is generally excellent. But one of my dishes was somewhat mediocre on this occasion. Normally scrumptious and interesting. Disappointed. But will go again. As I believe generally they are much better than most other venues of this type

Gorgeous lamb ragù, gorgeous pork loin, gorgeous pizzas served by quick and cheerful staff. The hazelnut praline cheesecake was the best dessert I’ve had for years. We all loved the food!
