I recently had the pleasure of visiting this pub, and I must say it's a hidden gem. The beer is exceptionally well-kept, The staff were very friendly and welcoming. It's the kind of place where you instantly feel at home. I'll definitely be returning.

The welcome at the Rose and Crown is always warm and friendly. The meals are always delicious and the specials are very varied, it’s frequently difficult to choose! Their Sunday lunch is always excellent too. They really go to a lot of trouble if it’s a special occasion, so kind and helpful ensuring it really is a special day.

Visiting the area. Had an excellent 3 course dinner with wine. The menu was very good for a pub, and so was the wine list. The staff and landlord were very friendly and the atmosphere was lovely. One of the best pub meals ive ever had.

Took my family here for my mums 80th birthday. The owners were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great time. Food was awesome and great value too. Thanks again and we will be back for sure.

Great place to stop for a meal/drink. Made a short detour to come here and it was well worth it. Meals excellent, portion size adequate and a great ambience.Just the type of place we like to visit in a quaint village. We’ll definitely call in again.

Went for lunch lunch on the 29/06/23, as soon as you enter the pub you are made welcome by the staff and the warm atmosphere within. Has a good food menu plus some traditional pub food, and of course I couldn't resist having the gammon double egg and chips which I couldn't fault in anyway, even if I tried my hardest. This is definitely a pub that deserves a 11 out of 10.Wheelchair accessibility: There are a couple of steps within the pub I saw that leaning against the wall there are a couple of aluminium ramps which could be used when necessary.

Visited here for weekday lunch with friends who live locally. Had a lovely lunch, we all ate differently from the menu and all dishes were well cooked and presented. Staff very friendly.

Beautiful location and friendly atmosphere. Food is good quality comes out hot and we really enjoyed it. Extremely busy pub so it is essential to book. Lovely garden and parking was fine. Downside for us was the slow service at least 45 mins from being seated, ordering and getting our food.

Went here for a family lunch as they had a reasonable range of meat fish and veggie options unlike some of the other nearby pubs. Food is very good and reasonably priced. Pub has a garden at the back and the main bar is still atmospheric and you could imagine being there a couple of hundred years ago. Big fireplace used last night ?Starters were a mackerel pate with smoked salmon and hot bread and the chicken strips which were whole legs without bones and a good sauce. Mains were steak pie and chips, Duck in hoisin sauce with noodles and veggie lasagna with chips all excellent

Beautiful little country pub with a lovely sunny outside space for the summer. A good sized menu with something for everyone. Food was all home made and freshly cooked. Portion sizes are good and it's good value for money.\\nThe owners are very friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble.\\nThere are steps but a ramp for wheelchairs is available.\\nWe will be back.

We had Sunday lunch here with friends and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The landlord and landlady were very welcoming on arrival and the service was great throughout our meal. The menu provided plenty to choose from, and the specials were excellent. The Sunday roast came with locally-sourced beef which was very tasty, tender and plentiful, together with a good selection of vegetables.

Had a fabulous Sunday lunch on Mother's Day. We had only been able to book a later table due to the popularity of this pub. We were able to sit comfortably with good spacing around the table with a well stocked fire keeping the room warm and plenty of space for our dog to lie without being in the way.\\nWe only ordered two courses so no review on the starters. We wondered if there might be less choice on the menu as it was a busy day and our booking was later in the afternoon but we still had the full choice.\\nThe roast beef was outstanding, from a local farm, beautifully tender and presented as asked for (one with red meat, one with no red). The chicken was nicely cooked. There was a generous serving of vegetables, large Yorkshire puddings for all, crispy roasties and extra gravy when we asked for it.\\nThe dessert selection was smaller but the sticky toffee pudding was amazing, served with real custard too.\\nThe beer was good and the wine the correct temperature.\\nThere was a bonus for mum too when she was presented with a bunch of daffodils to take home.\\nThe staff were knowledgeable, very friendly and enthusiastic.\\nA great afternoon. Thank you. We will be back.
