Fantastic pub in a beautiful setting, with Thenford arboretum close by. Delicious food with a seasonal menu. Very friendly and attentive staff and an exceptionally quirky but tasteful interior decor.Dietary restrictions: A good understanding of dietary restrictions.

It's just the most delightfully quirky pub in the area. The food was exceptional, and service was second to none. Very dog friendly. ?

Good food and generous portions I had the Sunday lunch my niece pie of the day. Well cooked plentiful gravy served separately, horseradish sauce given which was a plus Food could have been hotter. Staff efficient and polite

Stopped here for lunch. Beautiful decor, cozy atmosphere and great service. The beef and Guinness pie was the best pie I have ever had.

The prettiest pub/restaurant I have ever been in and the Sunday roast was perfect. Lovely roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and fresh vegetables. Friendly service. We will be back. .

What a fabulous find. Quirky, fun, interesting and magical. Roaring fires and cosy bar. Delicious roast dinner followed by tasty crumble. Super generous portions and reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

Ohhh, no-ho-ho-ho....made a reservation online an hour before due to arrive. As this was not confirmed and after ringing 15 minutes before arrival with no answer, we tried our luck and got there for 12.30pm.The dour faced woman behind the bar who made eye contact when we walked in but did not acknowledge us when we got to the bar left it to the waitress to attend to us. I said we made a reservation for 12.30, and when our name was not on their list, I said I'd made the reservation online. Dour faced woman chirped in and said, "well, that's the problem, its not a confirmed booking".......absolutely great customer service.......not an ounce of sympathy in her tone. Thanks for NOT letting us know before we arrived. Needless to say, we left. Our last 2 visits here were disappointing with cold atmosphere and tasteless food with no seasoning. This was our last choice to go to giving our past experience and quite glad in a way. Sorry to say, McDonald's was the better option on this occasion.

Bad experience last 3 times there for family meals. First time it was around Halloween and the pub was basically pitch black & you couldn’t see your food. Just a very silly idea really. Second time 5 burger meals came out cold after a long wait so had no choice but to eat as everyone else in the group had their food. Money was taken off after asking at the end so no issues with that. However today we had booked here because of an advert your pub was promoting about 2 meals for £22. We was told on the day this was no longer running because the festive menu had been released (Although you stated it runs for the whole of November on the advert) which goes against advertisement rules. Further to this we were then told Christmas Dinner had to be pre booked so it made the festive menu smaller. We will not be returning for our family meals here anymore as no meal has been issue free.

What a place! Booked the Three Conies for Afternoon Tea for my daughters baby shower and it was fantastic. The food was delicious, the service was excellent and the room we were in was beautiful, very quirky and interestingly decorated. I cannot fault our experience and would highly recommend. The staff were very attentive and kept the freshly made tea coming! We will be back.
