Utterly rude. Made to feel so uncomfortable we left. I would not recommend. If you want a lovely family meal avoid this place. Shame as it was my son’s birthday celebrations. No stars.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. We booked a table clearly stating it was for adults and two toddlers. When we arrived my child cried for about 30 seconds before what appeared to be the owner came over and said “you need to stop that” meaning my child! He moaned and said “this isn’t a child friendly pub” (even though they have a highchair) The way he spoke to us and spoke about my child was absolutely disgraceful. We had only just ordered the drinks when he came over and spoke to us so rudely. We decided to leave as he made us all feel so uncomfortable. Avoid at all costs.

It was very busy but the staff were very helpful and friendly, couldn't do enough re finding a table so we could eat later that evening. Didn't realise it was a fish and vegan restaurant but food was OK, not my taste but nothing wrong with

Great proper pub with a good vibe. Had fish and chips there were really tasty. Hosts very friendly and helpful. Wish this was my local.

Staff were great! Food was excellent. Chef brought it out himself which I like. It was clear the fish was freshly fried, it’s was amazing!

Went for dinner as we were told there were good fish and chips there. It’s not a normal chippy experience though, as if you don’t want fish then it’s vegetarian options. The food was good, but it would have been useful to know that before going in the door. Very cosy atmosphere though, and the staff were super friendly.

Great find in the lovely small town of Deddington. We ate the Salmon fishcakes with a salad and a shared portion of chips. Perfectly sized portions and very tasty fishcakes. This is a lively pub with plenty of space for outside dining and drinking. Aside from the fish menu all the menu items are plant based so great for vegetarians. Staff were very friendly and appears that we were wise to book as there were a good number of locals eating on a Wednesday evening.

Lovely pub, but outdoor non smoking seating doesn't really exist. There is a large white gazebo area which is the non smoking area, but immediately to the side of it are 2 smoking bench areas, so immediately people start smoking there, the gazebo becomes filled with cigarette smoke; not pleasant when we chose particularly to sit outside in the nonsmoking area.

This pub has a really nice atmosphere. We were made to feel very welcome and the food was delicious. The chef is very hands on and approachable . I felt that they really whether we enjoyed the food or not. It’s a lovely place to spend an evening.

Great atmosphere and service. I was happy to see that there are various vegan options on the menu as I am dairy intolerant and often don’t get spoilt for choice! I had jack fish and chips followed by chocolate fudge cake and ice-cream. The vegan curry sauce was amazing! Overall, tasty food, would definitely recommend!

2 night Travelzoo deal. Really well situated hotel in a pretty well serviced village. Hotel clearly undergoing some updating but did not detract from a lovely stay. Food was excellent and plentiful- both breakfast and dinner. Choice of breakfast impressive and freshly cooked. Staff, although under pressure and busy were very pleasant and helpful from reception to bar and restaurant staff with particular mention of Angelo and Adal who excelled. Very good value for money and we would return.

We visited for Sunday lunch and received a very warm welcome. The plant based menu is fantastic and the food did not disappoint. We will be back for sure. Atmosphere, location, outside seating area, food were all top notch.
