“Delicious Sunday roast. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere. We went there for a Sunday roast. My husband had the pork with crackly crackling. My daughter hoped for a vegetarian roast but that wasn’t available. We had extra roast potatoes and vegetables. The potatoes were delicious. So was the apple sauce and Yorkshire pud. Delicious homemade apple crumble too!”

“Came here for Sunday roast, food was absolutely amazing. Only thing that let it down for us was the service was incredibly slow and we waited over half an hour for 2 glasses of wine, which we ordered before food and we ended up having to remind our waitress we hadn’t received them while eating our food.”

“Four of us went to The Maybush for Sunday lunch and really enjoyed the experience. The starter of Broccoli and Stilton soup, served with fresh bread and butter was very tasty. We all had the roast dinner - 3 beef and one lamb, which was served with roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a varied selection of vegetables. Everything was absolutely delicious and the beef was cooked perfectly medium rare. A couple of desserts were shared and both were lovely - apple crumble with ice cream and custard and sticky toffee pudding with ice cream. Definitely recommend for a visit”

“Beautiful location but did have the issue that clientele at the table next door were having a very loud conversation as a man told his wife so loudly the whole restaurant could hear that a woman was too skinny and had no chest, and that trans people did not exist, something his whole table loudly agreed on. Could have done with staff stepping in just to shut him up. Nice river, food was decent.”
