Had lunch here today 27nd October, fabulous food lovely staff, and the biggest burger I have ever seen! Also amazing sticky toffee pudding. Lovely location all first class. We will be back again. Thank you.

Don’t go in the bar unless you like dogs, we loved it! There is a restaurant that is quieter. We had excellent fish and chip supper. Great beer, Have been before and will be going back, not many places you can relax with an inquisitive border terrier but she loved the company of other dogs on a Friday night!

Excellent pub dining with great food and really excellent atmosphere. Sunday lunch is on of the best. Really good value for money The staff are really very friendly. Nothing to much trouble. This has to be the best dog friendly pub for miles probably the best in the east midlands.

We went on a Wednesday for burger night. Well priced with the deal of buy one, get one half price. Juicy, tasty and big! The staff were friendly and attentive. I prefer the bar area than the restaurant as a setting. A lovely village pub, to complete the night we played bingo!

Very welcoming with dogs permitted through the bar and restaurant. Huge lasagne that was excellent. Voice of four real ales. All good. Fair price.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Went for the Pie Night on a Tuesday and all had lovely meals. The desserts were pretty good too

Sorry guys our meals were just disappointing - as it was Monday much of the usual menu was not available (apparently resupplied on a Tuesday) but our lasagnes were definitely overcooked and the venison pies similarly dry. The waitress was apologetic but it became amusing hearing the same tale repeated for customers who arrived after us when the pies and lasagnes had also run out. Selection of veg turned out to be carrot and red cabbage. Didn't stay to sample the desserts! Not an experience I would wish to repeat when the county of Rutland is teeming with good eateries.

Great evening here with our young son and dog. The pub was busy so definitely worth booking ahead. The food was excellent, we enjoyed the pizza’s and a great dog menu too! The pub was really dog friendly, attentive staff and very clean toilets. Overall, friendly service in a locals pub.

Top tip make sure you book. Very dog friendly. The only place I've been who has a dog menu . The human menu was very good. The staff were on the ball, knew about the food they were serving and lovely. The food was very good and the deserts were homemade and very good. I had the sizzling duck and a chocolate and caramel pyramid. Good job I missed the starter as I would have been too full. Thanks for a lovely meal The plough.

We were travelling in the area for our wedding anniversary and we were very lucky to find this place. Unpretentious, classic, simply delicious food served with smiles and friendly attitude in a homely environment; just what you want from a proper country pub. The fact they were truly pet friendly meant our puppy had a great time as well, and that to us is gold. A+ for their delicious chicken burger and the first onion rings I actually enjoyed. Only sad face would be about their deserts; there’s room for improvement there. But aside from that, we would totally go back!

Very friendly staff. Excellent food and service. Food freshly cooked to order and generous portion servings. Dog friendly and offered us treats for the dogs. Would definitely use again when in the area.

We ate here last night not only was the food exceptional but the staff were also so friendly and to top it off the owner sorted out a birthday cake for my lad as well ,if you go here you must try the bread and butter pudding it really was gorgeous ,I use to live in the village many years ago and obviously not all still live there that I know but the friendliness makes you feel right at home. We most definitely will be back again very soon you cannot beat a traditional village pub for comfort thankyou to all for last night .
