“Deserves 6*. Superb! Stopped here at last minute on midweek before catching sleeper to London and couldn’t have been more pleased with choice. Really thoughtful menu, every course was superb. salmon rilletes, carpaccio beetroot, halibut, hake, pistachio tres leches, salty chocolate mouse. Great wine selection including some interesting desert wines. Excellent and very friendly service, lovely little place. Much better than many more expensive places.”

“Popped in around 5.30pm yesterday. Great bartender who gave us great advice on the wide range of cocktails available. Amazing cocktails at an even better price. As Arnie says, "I'll be back!"”

“In July we paid our 3rd visit (in 4 years) to this unique hotel. Although around 3 miles from the centre of Aberdeen it is set back in a secluded elevated position in an "Oasis of calm" i.e. NO traffic noise. The decor is as immaculate as on our first visit and the staff are pleasant and highly efficient as on our previous visits. DB&B rate is excellent value as it is includes the a la carte dinner menu, with a supplement for a 10 oz Fillet or Chateaubriand or the seafood menu. We cannot wait for an excuse to return!”

“Our first time here and I wish I’d gone sooner! We were looking for a good Sunday roast and I’d read good reviews of The Braided Fig so booked a table. It was terrific. The most succulent beef - cooked perfectly and all the trimmings. Skirlie which was just superb and fabulous roast tats done in duck fat - crunchy and tasty. Lovely Yorkshire pud and a little extra pot of their gravy which was perfect. Tasty veg - glazed carrots, broccoli and cauliflower so quite a plate of food. Perfectly presented on warmed plates by our friendly and knowledgeable server. Really can’t fault it and I’ll be back here very soon to try the rest of the menu which also looks superb. Altogether a fantastic lunch in a lovely venue. Thanks to all the staff!”

“Starbucks Coffee Shop located inside Village Hotel Aberdeen. Lovely wee shop with plenty of choice. I have visited this shop plenty of times and most of the times there are 2 staff present. Very helpful staff. Only 1 checkout. Varieties of Sandwiches, Coffee's & Pastries available. There are plenty of seating arrangements inside & outside. Located on ground floor & can be accessed by disabled fraternity. Nice selection of Mugs, Water bottles & Flasks. Prices are wee bit dearer compared to other coffee outlets.”

“I'd maybe give this place a full 5 stars but the times i go coincide with bouts of heavy drinking so my recollection is a bit lacking.Food was good of i remember right though! And it provides a much needed service; selling food to drunks.”
