Be careful the chicken was off. Had a strange smell like it was old and had a strange texture slimy. This place is overrated and I would only recommend veggie dishes to stay on the safe side.If you're really hungry a positive would be the massive main dish sizes very good size of noodles on the plates.Upstairs was not clean and bathrooms not clean. It's better for takeawayKid-friendliness: Family friendly

Embarking on the odyssey that is the alleged Thai wonder of Aberdeen, my partner and I were ready to delve into a culinary adventure based on the rave reviews. Alas, our aspirations were cut short as we found ourselves perched at the window table, waiting like characters in a suspenseful drama. After a 25-minute saga of anticipation, the only taste we savoured was that of abandonment.Surrounded by an array of snacks, gifts, and packets of sweets on the counter, we couldn't shake the feeling of being relegated to the realm of 'out of sight, out of mind.' It was as if we had stumbled upon a culinary oasis, only to be left stranded in a desert of unfulfilled promises. While we understand the constraints of a bustling Thursday and our impromptu decision to be walk-ins, we expected the adventure to extend beyond the initial 10 minutes of securing a table. Instead, we found ourselves trapped in a trilogy of emotions: tired, hungry, and cold. A combination that might befit a thriller movie plot but hardly paints an appetizing picture for a dining experience. Ideal for a sequel to The Fugitive perhaps, but less than ideal for a restaurant seeking culinary conquests. We left, quietly and unnoticed, into a winter night.

This place is a great wee find. Food is very tasty, and portion sizes are very generous. Great value! Service is very good. The place is clean and has nice decor. My only suggestion would be to have the place a little warmer. I sat with my jacket and scarf on. Otherwise, everything is very good!

Delicious food, particularly recommend the honey and tamarind chicken. Their ice tea is also delicious. Nice relaxed atmosphere and very reasonably priced. We will be back!

Such a great hidden gem, I wish I checked it out sooner. I would say it is the best Thai restaurant in Aberdeen. Love the range of food on the menu. The spring rolls & thai curries are tasty. It's all fairly cheap too and great staff! ?

I went to Madame Mew's for lunch last week to take advantage of their Aberdeen Restaurant Week specials. Inside was cold enough that I needed to add a layer over my shirt to be comfortable. To be clear, I was not seated in the front as the owner suggests in her response - I was seated in the back. The decor is very basic. They have no wifi and I couldn’t get any cell signal. The server had lost her voice - I thought she did amazing to still take care of business! The fish cakes were awesome, but I was not a huge fan of the pad thai - although the portion was enormous! The recipe is unique to a specific part of Thailand and unlike any pad thai I’d had before. I had it with seafood - the shrimp was really good, but the scallops and squid tasted like cheap seafood from a freezer bag. The squid was in big pieces and very chewy. I need to try some other Thai places in town, but at this point I cannot recommend this one.

Food decent, we had pad Thai, curry and a variety of starters but flavours were pretty similar. It was a bit on the pricey side, particularly for the drinks, with £6 charge for one pint. The cold and draughty restaurant ruined the overall experience and we had to eat wearing our coats!

Another excellent meal and service.highly recommend!! I have sat in quite a few times now and had many take-away. Madam Mews is excellent value for money in this day and age despite what some idiots say on here that prob have no clue in what it takes to run a business and prob don't moan paying £8 quid for a luke warm rubbish mass produced Mc Donald's :-) The menu is varied and friendly staff who take pride in the place

The food isn't really authentic. The tom yum soup was sweet, lacking both sourness and spiciness. I couldn't even finish half of my noodles. The attitudes of the staff were not good, and I could see the difference in how they served the locals. I'm not sure of the reason behind this, but this shouldn't be happening.
