Have eaten here before and was lovely. Food still is but it is a very small limited menu and all safe dishes which to be honest don't excite me. Might seem petty but bread was cold which I think is a sign of a good restaurant when it is warm. It's not that it's bad it's just overpriced for what you are being served.

My husband and I had a lovely Friday afternoon at Moonfish Cafe our food was so delicious. Restaurant was busy but a very relaxing atmosphere our visit made even better by our servers lovely Hannah and Coco who were very pleasant, chatty without being overbearing such lovely young women to have work in Moonfish.

I read about this place on a few travel blogs, so my husband and I made reservations. I can truly say I've never eaten anything quite like it in the best way possible. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, and we never felt like we were waiting for anything. Be sure to make a reservation, as it was full even in the off-season (early February). If you enjoy unique, flavorful dishes that are truly one of a kind, this is your restaurant.

Not that they need any help here but great food (monk fish in a lobster bisque) and service.Keep in mind the cancelation policy that seems to require 48 hours notice or possible loss of deposit.

The food is good but i wait like 1 and a half hour for the main dish and i don't really think it's enough for me,I got the monkfish for the main dish and I only get 2 pieces of it and a very long carrot.The starter is good.

We went in for the 4 course taster menu through itison. £75 well spent. The food was fantastic, each course was superb, the paired cocktail was nice too. The staff were lovely, very friendly and attentive but no over bearing. The only down side was it could have been warmer in the restaurant.... that said it was probably about 0°C outside so its understandable

Fantastic as usual and one of the only places in Aberdeen to do something original with food, but 2 1/2 hours for amuse-bouche and 3 courses is perhaps stretching things a bit (especially when the normal maximum allocated time is 1h45min - then you should be able to let people have their meal in that time span). Service impeccable.
Shared a great evening with friends at Moon Fish. The food was exceptional and the service was great. The room was buzzing and chatty. This is well worth a visit again…and again!! Thanks Moon Fish for being independent and fab.

I made a good decision by visiting Moonfish for the first time. This restaurant was busier than I expected considering it was a Tuesday evening. Claire and Morgan were excellent in the way they looked after the diners: it's a pleasure to watch good teamwork. Efficient and professional in their care of the customers. The halibut main course was perfectly cooked and the best I have eaten for a long time. My buttermilk parfait dessert was unusual but equally pleasing. I am happy to recommend Moonfish to locals and visitors to Aberdeen.

Deserves 6*. Superb! Stopped here at last minute on midweek before catching sleeper to London and couldn’t have been more pleased with choice. Really thoughtful menu, every course was superb. salmon rilletes, carpaccio beetroot, halibut, hake, pistachio tres leches, salty chocolate mouse. Great wine selection including some interesting desert wines. Excellent and very friendly service, lovely little place. Much better than many more expensive places.
