I visited for their Aberdeen Restaurant Week 2024 (Jan/Feb) deal which included an open toast, a hot drink and an "art project" for £15. The Open Toasts are delicious, highly recommend the Turkish Eggs. For our art project we were asked what level of art we were at, and ended up with Air Dry Clay which we were pleased with! I made a wee trinket dish.Having a place like this in Aberdeen that is a Café that serves delicious food and drinks as well as encourages your creative side is amazing!

Definitely the best cafe to come to in Aberdeen, even though it’s the only cafe I’ve been to so far! Their coffee was spectacular and they even stock Bundaberg ginger beer! Cheers guys from an Aussie - will definitely be

We had my daughter's art party here at the new venue on Gaelic Lane early Dec 2023. The coffee is great. I love the ambience and cozy atmosphere. Perfect for a visit when you are in Aberdeen city.

Recently had our gym Christmas lunch here.Very easy to organise with Kirsty. Despite being recently opened they coped well with a group of 32. Food was well presented and tasty and good value for money . Would definitely recommend and we will return

The most amazing vegan breakfast I have every had, it was awesome. It’s a little hidden gem in the centre of Aberdeen, where, if you are so inclined, you can draw or read as you are eating. Sadly they are moving to a new place, also in the city, but it won’t stop me going back!

Really vibing with this venue, it has a very genuine feel and welcome to it. There was an area to borrow art supplies, so it's a good wee cosy space to work in company, the food was fantastic and the staff were very friendly. There was a table section before you come in with leaflets about the companies that are around which is fantastic and gives a really nice sense of community.I love that it's dog friendly, and that it's a nice creative space.

I decided on courgette fritter served with bacon and egg with a hot sauce. I was concerned about the hot sauce, but it was fine. Was absolutely delicious ? A great mouth watering menu lovely homely atmosphere. I never knew about this wee gem. You can do crafts and drawing, anything really. I am impressed . I will be back maybe with some art stuff.

I think someone may have said this before but this is a hidden gem up a side street just off Union Street in Aberdeen. I tried the turkish eggs on sourdough toast and my wife tried the middle eastern bowl. Both dishes were delicious, extremely fresh and tasty. We also had a skinny cappuccino and iced soya latte. The iced soya latte was not on the menu but the Barista/waitress kindly offered to make it for us. She also asked us if we would like the coffees straight away or with the food, which we were really impressed with. All in all a very enjoyable meal. We will be back that's for sure.

Highly recommend! My family (including a 5 and 7 year old) came to Second Home for a late lunch. The food and coffee was amazing. The staff were very friendly, and we loved the atmosphere. I am gluten-free and dairy-free. They had plenty of delicious options for me. I ended up having tomato soup, mushroom pesto toastie, and a slice of raspberry coconut cake. Yum! My picky kids even devoured their meals. One had a cheese toastie. The other had a breakfast bagel.
