As a family of 4 we had a voucher for afternoon tea at the cafe after our boat trip along Loch Katrine. It was lovely, cosy and welcoming after a cold trip on the water. We were told we could swap the afternoon teas for pizza for the kids if we wanted which we did so we have two cheese pizzas and two afternoon teas. Food was quick and staff were friendly. The pizza were lovely kids polished them off. The afternoon tea was huge, we were really impressed with the quantity and how fresh the sandwiched were. Would recommend and we will return.

Visited the cafe on 29/10/23 and must say excellent service and banter from staff couldn't fault them in any way definitely go above and beyond to make it an enjoyable experience but do think the food presentation/options could be better on saying that I will still return at least for the banter and service if nothing eles.

Lovely people, lovely view, food isn't that good though, the sandwiches and soup were ok but Pizza wasn't. Have to take a star off for the pizza! Otherwise a lovely place to sit down and relax!Wheelchair accessibility: Lift in cafe, currently unavailable

I was out with the family today, 15/10/2023 for a walk and went to have lunch to the cafe around 15:30. As I entered, holding one baby in my arms and my girl by my side (as the lift was not working my husband went to put the buggy in the car) two ladies were clearing dishes from tables. They did not welcome us at all. I went in looked around to see whether I can find a high chair and as I couldn’t see any I went back to those ladies which even at that point they did not pay any attention as if I was invisible. I waited thinking they will atleast look at me which they did not so I asked whether I can get a high chair. Then one of them looked around and pointed me one! So I walked thinking that she will come to help me to get it as it was under a table which with one hand I couldn’t take. But when I looked back to see whether anyone is coming there was none. They were just chatting and doing their work. I was very much surprised to see their gesture. I was standing helplessly at the table which I was planing to take and was looking back at them. One lady saw me and was not willing to come. I kept looking at them in surprise then unwillingly she went and got me the high chair. By then I was very upset by the attitude and behavior of those ladies but still I thanked her. Then my husband arrived and I’ve told him what happened. He went to the counter to order food and the guy wasn’t very much knowledgeable in what he should doThe same guy served us food, he was atleast polite and nice. While having food we saw how those same ladies were attending another couple with a baby and how attentively she got a baby chair for them and cleaned it thoroughly. She was being so nice to that couple and the baby and was saying hello, smiling and waving. This is pure racism! We are Asians and the other couple was also of biracial couple.Later we noticed by their conversations the rude lady is the mother of the guy who served us. That lady kept on eating and with mouthful instructing her son whom yo give what. she kept on eating and walking which was disgusting to see! No manners at all! These kind of people should not be placed to welcome or interact with guests in such a lovely place. Those two ladies just ruined our experience! If you view the cameras you will exactly see what happened. Date 15/10/2023Time 15:30hrs

Coffee tastes like old boots. Atmosphere is akin to god's waiting room. Cheesy chips were disappointing, unmelted, uninspiring cheese sat on top of McCains oven finest.

We went to the cafe after a two hour boat cruise on the Loch. Only wanted something light so a toastie with ham, cheese and tomato was ideal it came with nice fresh salad and crisps. After ordering it soon came out nice and hot and tasty. Enjoyed it . The cafe is in a great spot overlooking the piers, nice to see the boats leave and return. A lovely stone building with outside seating also for nice weather days

The Steamship Cafe is an excellent place to spend your time when waiting for the steamship or starting and ending a walk at Loch Katerine. There is plenty of parking. There are plenty of toilets on the other side of the parking place. The elevated location of the cafe gives you an excellent view on the harbour, mountains, and the lake. I can recommend the Soup of the house which was in my case a tasty pea soup.

6 of us visited here without a reservation after a boat trip on the Loch this week. We were pleased to get a table. Menu looked decent for a cafe, my wife and I both chose the soup and sandwich combo - fine. However, the rest of our party ordered pizza. If overcooked frozen pizza is for you then this is the place to come. The table behind us were served a pizza which one half was almost black - I couldn't believe what was worse, the fact that the girl came out of the kitchen and dished it out or the fact that the customer sitting there said nothing. The man who was on the till taking our order later came out and cleared lots of tables of plates of half-eaten pizza. That surely should send a message!!

Lovely cafe with great views over pier and loch Katrine. Delicious food. Well cooked and presented and very good value . We had coffee before our loch cruise and it was probably the best latte I have ever had. Went back for a light lunch and was not disappointed.A little gem. Well worth a visit.

We stopped by here for a quick lunch before cycling around the Loch and also after for a snack. The staff were super friendly and the prices were alright. There was a decent selection of drinks though there was no beer on tap. The food however was very hit and miss so -1 star. The Ham & Cheese toastie was great, but the Coronation Chicken toastie has zero taste. The pizza was mediocre but the Raspberry Ripple was out of this world. The outside area was very nice and let's face it, it's the only place you can buy drinks and food here, so have a seat - it's pretty good.

I don’t know if this place has changed hands but it used to have lovely food and happy staff!Food has gone seriously down hill … frozen pizza and rude staff are what’s served up these days … the soup was tinned and served with bread and cheese with no effort what’s so ever …very disappointed.

£5.95 for a sandwich. Two slices of buttered bread and 1 piece of ham. Rip off.
