Married here ten years ago and back to where it all began for a wee overnight stay with dinner and breakfast. Met with Phil the owner who surprise arranged a lovely bottle to be added to the room for our return from dinner. Vari and staff couldn’t do enough for us. Missed Wendy who has looked after us on every visit we have made since the wedding. Lovely meal and surroundings.

Came here for lunch.Expensive for what it is.Had the tempura bites which were quite bland - fish pie for main. I could tell mash was microwaved and steamed veg in the pack. Lighting could do with new bulbs however the atmosphere was nice :)

Booked this hotel for funeral tea . Receptive with drinks and food prompt . One issue was the dim lighting which it seemed could not be rectified . ? Lights not working . Was pleased that the extra food could be taken in special provided containers . Staff generally pleasant and accommodating . Price higher than anticipated . But 10 pounds a head . Decor perhaps needed some upgrade but comfortable enough .

Christmas dinner in there is disgusting . The money they charge is a disgrace handing food like that to anyone. Never again . 2 years in a row with different family members. I wld advise no one to eat there at Christmas. Shane in them .

Arrived late to be greeted by Wendy who checked us in. Having driven over 4 hrs a pint of Guinness was welcome. My wife and I chatted for a couple of hours at the bar with Wendy and she was a delight to be with. Breakfast in the morning was very good too. All the staff were fantastic and could not do enough for us. Off to Arran this morning but are looking forward to staying here again. ??

We walked in and were immediately greeted by Wendy, made to feel like returning guests. Don't be put off by the size of the hotel, sports bar with 9 TVs, room was a good size, king-size bed. The food in the restaurant was fantastic, one of our starters was haggis and black pudding scotch egg, cut into it the egg yoke was perfectly runny, big compliments to the chef very hard to get correct. Good portions. Great breakfast. The bar was really nice, set down with some locals, made to feel like we had been there many times. Enjoy

Had birthday dinner with friends , Ordered red tai curry only to be served a ready meal with a few herbs on top !!No one can convince me otherwise, bland tasteless .Ordered another set off drinks never to arrive ,older waitress was stern faced and abrupt!.Won't be back overpriced too for what was served up .Staff not interested too busy yapping and laughing..Went to pay and manager asked if all was OK, well he looked like he had just fell out off bed looked unwashed and scruffy With his shirt tails hanging out!! Awful place!!.

The Laurieston hotel much exceeded my expectations being an amazing value for money. First of all it's right on the beach and 5 min away from the ferry terminal (50 min to Arran by ferry) - perfect location. It is an old stylish building with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and bathrooms looking brand new (loved the shower). The Drawing Room restaurant is cosy and warm with a fire place in the middle. Breakfast and dinner were both delicious, fresh and cooked well. Staff made us feel welcome in a very homely, relaxing way. I would definitely love to come back for Christmas or another short getaway.
