Haven’t been back in a while as the last experience I had was not great , but I have to say the steak night special on this occasion was really good .The staff were friendly and attentive and the food was good , I will hopefully visit again soon .

Craig was our waiter. Very friendly and polite. My vegan meal was FANTASTIC. My partner had the steak and ale pie which he enjoyed. His son had the cheeseburger but said it was just ok! A lovely homely pub with an AWESOME play area for kiddies. Restaurant was clean and tidy. Service was prompt, friendly and helpful. Starters were tasty. Main meals (sirloin) however had a lot of gristle and was very chewy the rest of the food was ok.

Popped in for Sunday lunch and was not disappointed. Everything was perfect. No waiting for anything even with it being a little busy, the staff are amazing, friendly and professional, the drink was fresh and crispy and the food was perfect, it arrived promptly, was the correct temperature and portion size. I've visited a lot over the last few years and my experiences just keep getting better than the last. Please pass on my thanks to all of the team especially all the busy bees working away in the background ensuring we all have such a lovely experience. Thank you

A wee family meet up here as it was central for everyone, so much better than your below par Brewers Fayres.Great choice on the menu, and plenty of veggie options too. I'd certainly recommend the vegan burger, really tasty ?Vegetarian options: Plenty of great choice

Had the festive menu which was good, nice clean pub with good selection of drinks and friendly atmosphere. Service could be better, when we wanted to split the bill it seemed to be a problem for them and they were not very accommodating.

Hi we booked for lunch today at the Rowan Tree Armadale as a family of 5. To say we were disappointed in the food is an understatement. Ordered potato leek soup and what came was a half portion. When returned soup was advised that’s how it comes! Had soup before on numerous occasions and never had a portion that size before needless to say I had no starter. My daughter had the prawn cocktail and what was presented was a disgrace. No sauce on the prawns. This was returned and when it came out a small ramekin was what was sitting on the plate. Main meals weren’t any better. I ordered smoked hunters chicken with fries. When it came out the chips were dry and cold so it was returned for fresh chips but when it came out the chicken was cold. Ended up eating the chips and not the chicken. One of the other means was lasagne now we always get lasagne as it’s usually really nice however when it came out. 3/4 was covered in cheese. 1 layer of lasagne sheet and it was that dry as barely any sauce. This was sent back and a burger ordered. I know prices have changed but come on. Poor quality is a definite no. When the lasagne was sent back we were informed the recipe has changed !! Everything is portioned before coming in. Needless to say we won’t be back. Which is a shame as Claire is lovely and we enjoy the banter. Quality has dropped dramatically. Shame on you Marstons as I’m sure you will loose a lot more customers as it wasn’t just us complaining

This was a family lunch party for 6 people and we had a great time at The Rowan Tree which had been recommended by some of the party. We really enjoyed the food and the choice that was on offer. The restaurant was nicely decorated for Christmas which helped us even more to enjoy what was a birthday lunch. The waiting staff were very attentive and price-wise, we couldn't fault it. We will certainly be back when we're in the area again - possibly January and April !
