Absolutely delicious!! We had butter chicken and bhuna and a massive garlic naan. Everything was finger licking good! Staff very very attentive and polite. Would be my favourite place if I lived around the area. Can definitely recommend.

First class food and service in a wonderful restaurant. We are fairly regular diners here, and it never fails to impress. A lovely experience from start to finish. What more would you want. A lovely beach/ sea view/ sunset across to Arran and treated very well by all the staff

This is a top class restaurant we use often. Consistently excellent with great food and great service. Can’t fault them at all. Superb views across the sea.

You can depend on Ayr India. Great staff & fast service. We keep coming back & don’t need 100 characters to explain why.

Ayr India never disappoints. WE came from Canada to visit family and friends and have been to Ayr India 3 times now. Located down at the beach, the view over Arran is spectacular. Food and service is excellent. They actually stayed open for our party on one occasion when we had gone to a show. Then they offered us digestifs on the house. A class act from start to finish. Our friends Mik & Lorraine Shaw go often.

Always great food and service, highly recommended. I’m a repeat customer as best Indian food in the area. Staff very friendly

The food, customer service and view was great. The only downfall was not receiving an itemised receipt, instead you get a piece of paper with lots of prices on it and the total at the end. I always like to see what I’m paying for. I wish that I can get this the next time I dine at the restaurant.

Lovely meal served by friendly and attentive staff. It was our first visit, but definitely won't be our last. Ps: Lovely views out towards Arran and the Mull of Kintyre.

Take away- not sit-in so I can’t speak for the restaurant itself only to say that yes it has a lovely sea view but the building is not much to look at and to the outside doesn’t look dissimilar to the public toilets building beside it. We had arrived on holiday to the area that afternoon and as the take away was local and food well reviewed on here we thought we’d order, I phoned the order in and was surprised to be informed that an order of a main doesn’t include rice, which was unusual to me but even more so when I went to pay!! 2 mains with the addition of two pilau rice (but I’d say its few and far between eats a main dish without a side) a portion of chicken pakora, a nan bread and a couple of popadoms was £42.90!! And it was only just ok for taste, certainly not worth the extra money!!

It had been some time since we had eaten at Ayr India as we had moved away from the area and I was certainly not disappointed, we were made to feel welcome and guess the best word is special! the views were great and most importantly the food was absolutely brilliant, loved every mouthful we had a really nice relaxing time with great food and a few more memories, Thank you to the team at Ayr India

What a disappointment, after reading reviews. This restaurant has mediocre food. If you fancy an Indian in Ayr, unfortunately this owner has the monopoly. Therefore you are paying ridiculous money for a sea view. I would not recommend this restaurant on its food. However the views are spectacular. Just be prepared to pay a lot of money for your experience.

My husband, Colin, and I were staying overnight in Troon to celebrate our silver wedding anniversary with 4 of our friends. I got in touch with Ayr India to see if they could do something special for us, and accommodate our dietary needs as I'm a coeliac vegetarian and we had a vegan and a vegetarian in our party. Within 5 minutes of getting in touch (by email), they responded with a suggestion that we book their banquet dinner. They added that there would be no problem re the dietary requirements. A week before the meal, Colin and I dropped off some balloons and banners and asked them if they would put them up for us. Yet again, they were more than helpful and, when we arrived with our friends for the celebration, they had decorated the table for us. The restaurant is situated on the beach front in Ayr, with uninterrupted views of the sea for every diner as all the seating is at the window. It's a small restaurant, so I would advise booking well in advance as it gets really busy. The service was excellent, as was the food. We had a variety of starters including pakoras and bite-sized pooris, which were absolutely delicious. The mains included lamb, chicken and veggie curries with naans and rice, and the portions were generous. At the end of our meal we were all offered a drink on the house, and Colin and I were presented with a bottle of wine. I would highly recommend this restaurant for its excellent and friendly service, and it's beautiful location. We will definitely be back.
