This historic restaurant is located close to Kinross and is conveniently located for those exploring Loch Leven. It serves pub classics, all of which are very nice and served by attentative and friendly staff. The Balgedie Smokie is always a winner!Nearby activities: Loch Leven heritage trail

Booked a table today Sunday 22nd January as a family and it did not disappoint !! Three kids and their cheese burgers n chips and sausage and chips were really great value and tasted so good All main meals for adults were delicious gammon steak with all trimmings , steak pie and specials choice could not be faulted
Absolutely great meal with family. Everyone had something different across the menu. Everything was tasty, good portions and service was everything you would expect. Traditional pub/inn style which is becoming rarer and lovely to still see. My meal (smokie) was delicious and hopefully be back soon!

Delighted to have a delicious meal at this traditional, cosy coaching inn. Our large party of 9 enjoyed a fab meal, between us trying most of the main course and pudding menu. Everything was delicious, staff were great accommodating allergies and preferences with ease. Lovely friendly atmosphere in a spotlessly clean venue (including bathrooms). Looking forward to our next visit!

Been several times before and it had been very pleasant. This occasion it seems to have dropped their standards; cleanliness wasn’t great in particular the toilets. Food; spring roll was over cooked, batter on the fish (fish and chips) was thick and not fully , also a load of salt on the top of the fish. Staff member came over as flustered as she had forgotten our drinks order. Not sure if I will be back.

We visited for lunch on Christmas Eve and were not disappointed. The food is consistently excellent, the service is attentive and we were seated at a lovely table by the fire. We have had a number of meals here now and would highly recommend.

Great food and Neil is a great hostFood & drinks: Eaten here a few times and never been let down, the mince and tatties are up there with your mum's.
