Our normal restaurant was closed and we thought we would try out the Caulders Restaurant. The all day breakfast was disgraceful. One piece of cold bacon, a fried egg that had obviously been sitting for ages and a square slice sausage that was off. When asked about the breakfast by a young girl I complained about the sausage and said I wouldn't be back. She came back and said that next time I could change the sausage for something else. This will not happen. I think the chef needs retraining on food hygiene or maybe they should consider a replacement as the food was not up to any standard a competent chef would serve. Seriously consider this establishment if you value your health.

Went in for lunch, were abruptly sent back to the opening and told to wait there and someone would come and show us to a seat, then abruptly seated and again told someone else would come take our order.. hey guys this is only a cafe in a garden centre, not a 5 star restaurant... food was OK, rather overpriced for a couple toasties...

Really nice ambience about this place especially at this time of year.. beautifully adorned with all the Christmas decorations.Had brunch in the restaurant...service was excellent....BUT ! Ordered a roll with fried egg tattie scone & sliced sausage...& nearly broke several teeth on the sausage which was almost brick hard... obviously been under the heat for far too long .... BEWARE !

Super helpful staff. A young lady looked for an item for my hubby. On finding out that they had sold out, she phoned round the other stores and got one held for us, which was great as its intended as a Christmas present. We went for tea and cake in the restaurant. The restaurant itself was lovely, quite a few people in for their breakfast deal, 2 Scottish breakfasts for £18. Dearer than a caff, but I felt the price was reasonable in such lovely surroundings.Cake was lovely, service was again friendly and efficient. We're even thinking about coming up from Irvine for a Christmas lunch!

This garden centre is right on my doorstep but I never get tired of it. Especially at Xmas time. The decorations are amazing. The cafe is great, staff are really friendly and their meringue are enormous and really tasty.

Well we're back at Calders in Erskine again. ? yup, it's absolutely chucking down outside ( it must be bad i saw a guy with a big boat looking for escaped giraffes ?) Anyhoo, ... this time our visit to the Café / Restaurant wasn't as great as its been in the past. Hey, the staff, venue and general ambiance ( for a garden centre ) were top notch, pity the same couldn't be said about the food. The Pea & Ham soup was dreadful, a watery green liquid that needed a LOT of condiment. The main course ( I had the fish'n'chips ? ) was delish though ? !!! however the coffee was weak and watery ( and not that hot ) .... but don't let that detract you from going !! Its a Christmas wonderland just now and for plants and shrubs you couldn't do better. It just seemed that there was a lot of "eeking out" or "watering down" going on. Anyhoo, after all that ...... we'll be back, next time we're in the area ???

Great wee place and friendly staff. Always nice to visit during the Christmas period. Glad to see their cafe has been renovated - went in for a coffee and was great.
